negative we do not. as a matter of fact we have a little bit of summer this then that other season. >> oh, yeah. >> not summer. >> that one. >> that we have. >> not quite there yet. >> we're headed that way though. certainly felt different today than it has in the last two days and temperatures held in the 60s with rain showers coming down and rain is in the we need this rain. it is great news. and i got a few rumblings and grumbles from the hubby because he did not put down grass seed. ha ha and now the rain is coming down. so a little bit of a faux pas in the meteorologist wife's half but we are going to watch the rain showers as they continue to move in. we'll take a look first out to the east toward trumbull county. this is a pretty decent little thunderstorm that is moving in off of the state line area. it will continue to move to the stay just north of mecca and mosquito creek. but heads-up for you folks in southern portions of ashtabula county, that will be coming your way. just a couple of lightning strikes showing up there on the live lightning but it's certainly not expected to make too many problems as far as severe weather goes. the bigger picture then shows that we have drier weather for lake county and most of geauga county down into portage county just starting the see a few of those rain showers coming in those areas. but as we look a little bit farther to the west, we definitely have that rain is coming in. and cleveland is just now starting to get in on some of the light sprinkles and heavier rain showers wellington and points south and through the evening this will continue to work its way north as well. heavy rain right now along the i-71 corridor just in the northwest corner of wayne county. northeastern sections of ashland county. and then another batch of heavier rain that is coming our way from south of mansfield down to the columbus area. and you can see this swath of layers if you will. that will pivot right over northern ohio as we go through the night tonight. so we are anticipating rain that's going to be a nice soaking rain and great sleeping weather as well. and boy, if there ever was a picture to show tonight, it is this. look at this pin wheeling effect right over fort wayne, indiana. that's where the center of the circulation is. and the upper part of the atmosphere. and you can see how all these spokes kind of pin wheel right around that. that is the story and as th to go south, we will end up getting more and more in the way of these rain showers coming our way. and you can't help but see all these showers that are kind of lining up to the west and these are more spokes of energy that will come around and eventually bring us rain as we get into the day tomorrow. so we have the rain here tonight. we're going to continue to have on and off rain showers but overall i think the heaviest rain threat will be diminishing as we go through the night. because we're getting into nighttime cooling that helps us stabilize things a little bit. rain and tomorrow morning's forecast is one of those spokes of energy set up right over the area. and we'll have waves of rain occasional thunderstorms as we go through the day tomorrow. temperatures are going to stay in the 60s for us once again. and like today, we will have dry periods as well as rainy periods. it's going to be going back and forth across the entire area. the window nation forecast has the temperatures in the upper 6 oz. and the rain for thursday -- 60s and the rain for thursday and for friday and sneaking into saturday although that er front comes through. and drops back the temperatures into the upper 60s on sunday with scattered rain and thunderstorm chances still not looking at a washout ready weekend right now. -- for the weekend right now. still to be determined but right now we're hoping for dry windows. >> all right. >> that sounds good. paul is okay. pall is easy and okay now right? >> it's all good. yeah. >> just some saran wrap over the thing and get out there and coming up, even though the indians clinched the central division on monday, they still have a lot to play for as the regular season winds down. >> jimmy looks at the race for no more magic number counting. >> right. >> now we're all just focused >> yeah. >> that's right. where we'll play. >> that's the big key right now. incidentally i tried to watch that game last night. and i mean i love the indians. okay? but i'm watching that game. last night. >> i needed some aspirin for a possible -- headache. [ laughter ] that was a tough watch last night when they lost 12-0. they have five games left to go in the regular season. and they play the tigers again tonight. and they still do have a little work to be done. they can get home field advantage throughout. okay last night, wow. . understandable they partied pretty hard after wrapping up the division the night before. against the tigers this year, they're 14-3. that was the big key to winning the division and got off to such a good start and it continued all year long. against detroit. so the indians are up fighting for home field advantage. now the tigers need to win they're trying to grab a wild cards spot and they're a game out of the wild cards right now. mcallister on the mound for the indians tonight. only his sex start of the year, now. the rangers have the best record at this point. the red sox still have not wrapped up the east. their magic number is one. they're a half game back though for the best record. and the indians it is a game and a half back. -- it is a game and a half back. on the injury friday. corey kluber underwent the mri. it's a mild strain of a quad muscle not the groin injury, he will be back for game activity within seven to ten days. and the playoffs for the indians beginning in eight days so there. coming up on sunday in washington, at fedex field. the browns are again a heavy underdog. a seven and a half point underdog after the redskins won the first game of the season last sunday and the browns are winless. cody kessler start number two for him. it was a passable start i thought for a rookie quarterback to have to do it on the road. he went into overtime and ended up with a loss in the l. column but he's back ready to go for week number two and he'll have to be better though. >> that's something you have to do as a crook key, earn their -- as a crook key, earn their respect and trust. just go out and compete and be loud and vocal and be a leader and do different things that show i'm ready and want to step up and be a guy that doesn't come in scared or has any you know dotes about himself -- doubts about himself. >> we'll watch him on sunday. and it looks like we'll be watching joe hayden. he was back on the practice field today and he was limited. she strained his groin last thursday in practice and did not play in miami. but i have to tell you the played very, very well. this young rookie that they found body calhoun came up with a pick 6 in the game and really played well. hayden wants to get back in there. he was upset he couldn't play last week. >> very tough for me to not be out this with my guys and i -- there with my guys and especial little you know trying to be a leader for this team and you know, and i got to make certain plays. and just tough not being able to be out there. game two of train camp -- continues as they get ready for preseason. david griffin along with his head coach and kevin love getting the work in and lebron james getting his work in. one week from today is the cavs' first preseason game. that's at home against orlando. this sunday it's the wine and gold scrimmage. and the cavaliers have a different kind of roster now. young and old. >> everyone is your oldest, we're not a young team but we still are as far as us being together we're two years in. so that's pretty young still. and i situation that we haven't seen now you know after the last two seasons. >> all right how about this story? the entire cavs' family will get championship rings. more than 1,000 full and part- time employees. janitors, food vendors, ticket takers, ushers at the game, security guards, police officers, all who work the games are going to get a championship ring. cavs get their rings coming up classy thing. a lot of these people have been with the cavs from even the days back at the old coliseum. >> major cool. that happens so cool. see you back tonight at 7:00. >> the nbc "nightly news" just minutes away.
