Thank you both the victims families and the police unit are speaking out about the firings and punishments for the officers involved in that Brandon Simmons joins us now. an attorney for the Russell Family was in the room today as we learn the fate of the officers in that deadly s been three years since it emotions run high. for the families of ssell and melissa wilson, today has been a long time coming. they sent their attorney to hear things firsthand. you want to be glad that wn finally but its taken so long and you want to think its a step in the right direction, but for the families, this has gone on so long. more than three years removed from the shooting, the family is still seeking justice. i think theyre still in shock that their brother is gone. they still want there to be this ultimate justice for what happened to tim and melissa. six officers fired and six more disciplined. but the Police Union Says none of it will stick. he calls the findings results based instead of looking at the facts. yet the safety director finds enough there to make these type of decisions. the union has filed grievances. im going to go get their jobs back, folks. i promise you theyre going get their jobs back, every single one of them. in the meantime, the family must wait and see. so this is going to keep going on. i think its frustrating, but its a step hopefully towards accountability. now, the next step is that arbitration process that tom meyer just told us about. the city has a few weeks to respond to grievances that were filed by the police union. well have to see where it goes from there. three years, and its still not over, as you say. thanks, brandon. our coverage of the chase is on our time line. you can find out any information including breaking development. and heres what else is happening tonight. water concerns continue in the town of sebring after test rest lead and copper above federal limits the two of the 123 water samples taken. they were found in Mckinley Junior Senior High School water fountains. schools were closed today. theyre calling for a criminal investigation, saying the water plant operation failed the public. Huntington Bank has announced its plans to buy first merritt for nearly 3. 5 billion. the merger would make the combined bank one of the largest in ohio. Cleveland Police say the woman was walking her dog when she saw the suspect stealing her bicycle. chased after clark. when she cut him off, he stopped, grabbing the woman from her car and punched her. he got in the car and backed into the victim and drove off. police found clark after he crashed the car. expected to recover. been unbelievable. it restores your faith in humanity. when k9s for cops canines for cops learned about jethro, they donated officer davis a new partner. the search started with 36 trained canines
