tourny. good evening. the clock is ticking for tuesday's ohio primary. it's critical for republicans. it's winner take all. front-runner donald trump was in westchester earlier today and came out swinging. >> reporter: cheers and chants of trump greeted the donald in westchester this afternoon. he wasted no time in attacking ohio governor john kasich for, among many things, his tv viewing habit. >> you're running for president, the only thing you watch on television is golf channel. so he's not gonna do the job, okay. >> reporter: trump's other opponents marco rubio and senator ted cruz weren't left out either. >> you know, they put him in, he's young guy, they put him in and -- you know who i'm talking about, right? little marco! marco. marco. marco. >> they don't like liars. he comes in with the bible, holds it up high, puts it down, and then he lies. i call him lying ted. >> reporter: trump also talked about pope francis, the common core, his time doing business in cincinnati and the wall in mexico. but he got lots of cheers when he talked about a guy he calls charlie hustle. >> what do you think -- hey, by the way -- let him in, right? right. >> reporter: trump also answered questions from the audience. the most pointed one came from keith maupin, the father of staff sergeant a p.o.w. killed in iraq. >> i come heres because you made a comment to john mccain that you don't think that captured soldiers are heros. >> oh, no. >> what i want to you do is just clarify that for me. >> because i think it's important for all these people here. >> yeah. >> and for a lot of veterans in ohio, especially ohio. and i know what you were doing. >> you know exactly what i was doing. >> but i want you to explain it. >> just so you understand they're real heroes. okay? >> reporter: the only other contentious moment came when one guy with a bernie sanders sign had to be escorted out. to, that trump said, it certainly makes things more exciting. >> trump was in bloomington illinois before he arrived. in typical trump fashion he did find time to use twitter. it's a picture of a signed baseball from pete rose with the message, thank you, pete. on friday night, trump had to cancel rallying in chicago because of so much commotion before the event even started. safety and security were top concerns, not only for trump, but for those attending today's event. local 12's brad underwood was in the middle of it all and joins us live tonight. hi, brad. >> hi, megan. we all saw what happened in chicago on friday and dayton on saturday as one man tried to jump on the stage, and even last night protestors were pepper sprayed in kansas city. today it was pretty much verbal arguments, back and forth between supporters and protestors. police, however, did a great job keeping physical violence away from this rally. >> at times it was hard to understand what each side was yelling to the other. >> some chanting with meg gap phones. the others just staring and crossing the state police line. people in support and protestors made sure you knew what side they're on. >> this is a trump flag right here. >> the hate, bing, it's ridiculous, you know, and i still have not heard one single proposal by him. >> the things he says just make me sick. i do lott love a lot of people. i don't hate anyone. th not about love or hate but taking our country back. >> flags, signs, shirts, and hats, and even some in costume hope to get inside to hear trump speak. >> in the last few elections, it's been kind of just the same ole' same ole', i want to bring my children up here to see how the democratic process works. you know, most sides of it. >> the divide here in westchester couldn't be more clear. yellow police tape separating the two groups outside the savannah center, those protesting donald trump's visit to westchester and those who can came to support and see trump's fate. but hundreds were turned away before the event started. close to 1500 people showed up, about 1,000 got in. one of them tracy brook she was also in dayton on saturday to listen to trump. >> we didn't even know -- some of the repetitive statements he interested with the audience and talks more about the issues of what the audience wanted to ask about. >> megan. >> brad, thank you. the protester was arrested yesterday after jumping on stage in dayton, he says he did not intend to hurt anyone. thomas says he planned to grab the mic and wanted to yell that trump is a racist. according to a police report during the disruption, secret service agents formed a circle around trump to protect him. the 22-year-old says he expected to be arrested. the wright state student was charged with a misdemeanor, inducing panic and disorderly conduct. hamilton county sheriff raised quite a few eyebrows. he's a democrat but speaking before trump arrived and pointed out neil in the crowd and thanked him for being there. he also thanked him for endorsing trump. immediately people began responding on social media. and after the rally we asked neil about it. >> i support everybody. it's nothing to do with politics. it has nothing to do with race. it has nothing to do with religion. the sheriff support everybody. i serve everybody. >> now to the democrats, those presidential candidates spent the evening in columbus. hillary clinton and senator bernie sanders took part families. instead of affordable college we have skyrocketing debt. paychecks barely budge, but ceo pay keeps rising. and instead of good paying jobs, millions of americans are stuck. wall street and big financial interests, along with drug companies, insurance companies, big oil companies. the indifference, the negligence. that' s what i want to take on. i'm running for president to root out all i guess the winner of indiana, chattanooga, some say this is quite a tough region including u.k., the head coach, john calipari. i told tom three weeks ago we'd be playing. my prediction was kansas. if i say this. the problem is you're affecting more than one. you're affecting a lot. and they'll say it's all conspiracy, and i hear it all. >> which region is the toughest, the east, which seems like u.k.,
