Officers race to mcfall avenue and anderson street before 9 00 last night and found four anderson and paramore avenue. This is video into the news room. Right now their conditions are not known. A mother and daughter tell news 6 they were inside s and w food store when a man wearing a bandana and sunglasses stormed in and started firing shots. I walked past the man and he shot the bullet off and so we thought it was some kid playing around. And so he did it again and we just hurried up and ran out the door. The suspect drove off from the store and was later stopped by police. At this point police have not said if anyone was detained or arrested. And we are told they are not looking for anyone. The teacher and head Cross Country<\/a> coach admitted to investigators the two were together but denied having sex. And we heard back from the school district. A spokesperson says jungreis is still an employee but has been reassign today a location with no student while this investigation is open. Today the search will pick up for baby willow. This after crews drained the pond saturday about a block away from the apartments where Susan Richardson<\/a> is charged with aggravated child neglect. On friday dive crews walked through the water and found nothing. The effort went underground earlier this week as crews cameras down there and investigated a few dumpsters from the complex but no baby. After the ponds are dry crews are expect today resume their search there. We are learning new information on a deadly crash involving a dirt bike in Orange County<\/a>. The crash happened at powers in pine hills. Troopers say an unregistered dirt bike driven by clavon foster hit a 59yearold pedestrian. She was taken to the hospital and was pronounced dead. We learned foster died at the hospital as well. Troopers are asking anyone that witnessed the crash to call fhp. Police identified the suspect that robbed a taxi driver at gunpoint. Initially they thought she was a man dressed as a woman and this photo we are about to show you, the cab driver picked her up and when they got to downtown orlando, she pulled out a gun and told the driver to hand over whatever he had. Right now Orange County<\/a> deputies are searching for this woman to see if shes linked to a robbery at a 7 11 on east 50th a few days ago. Of the Central Florida<\/a> commission on homelessness has been recognized for his efforts by being named floridian of the year. And the Orlando Solar Bears<\/a> have been a source to end homelessness. We have the c. E. O. Of the solar bears, good morning to you, welcome. Andre bailey, the man himself. Congratulations. Eric, thanks for having me back on. You beat out thousands of people. When you run a collective organization like the Central Florida<\/a> commission on homelessness, the real key is just getting the right leaders around the right ideas and getting the right resources. So people like jason on our team and organizations like the solar bears and others, hard mot to be successful. But a little insight. There were people on that list that do a lot for Central Florida<\/a>, that make a lot of money for Central Florida<\/a>. A lot of high profile people. How do you do this . How do you win . I appreciate all the flattery. I think homelessness has been an important issue for our community. Weve solved so many things here. Areas, but homelessness was always an area we struggle to make the progress we were hoping for. So our collaborative that have seen so many homeless get off the streets and Housing First<\/a> hod will take roots, i think they wanted to recognize our m lucky enough to be the person to receive it. Not just your charming personality and good looks . No. Lets talk about the effort to end homelessness, but you have made incredible progress. We talked about this over the past year to end homelessness. Tell me where we are and whats left . Like most big cities in the United States<\/a> of america, Central Florida<\/a> struggled with homelessness for decade and when i got this job in 2013 we have seen so Many Community<\/a> efforts try and not succeed. So i looked around the country and saw cities that were making progress, using the Housing First<\/a> model. The solution to homelessness is finding someone a home and they are no longer homeless. You have ended chronic veteran homelessness. One of the things we are most proud is led by the va and some great efforts, collaborative efforts by a lot of partners. We have reached functional zero for veteran homelessness. That means if you are a veteran and you have a disability theres housing for you. Many of them got it for 1520 years in the last three years alone. Many stories with you on this. Whats left . A lot of work left to do. I talked to you about you will know that we succeeded when you drive down the middle of downtown orlando. Go out into the woods of east Orange County<\/a> and theres not masses of Homeless People<\/a> still out there. If you drive down the streets you see a lot of Homeless People<\/a>. Weve got the money, weve got the right plan. Where we are able to suffer through the construction. We have to push forward until every person gets off the streets. One more question. Lets talk about some of the money. Youve heard thchlt there is a criticism that the commission has a ton of money. I mean we are talking upward of so million, 15 million. The county complaining they didnt have the money to take care of these folks. How do you get the money to the people that need it . The commission has a small budget. Our budge the budget is less than 1 million a year. We were able to get top companies, disney world, city of orlando, to commit money to go down the same road together. We are pushing for more of these resources to hit the streets. 2015, 2016 will overshadow with the progress. Weve proved that we can house anyone. Now we have to prove as a community that we can house everyone in need who is homeless. And theres a lot of people in need. Absolutely. Thank you, jason. But thats how some president ial candidates seem to be dealing and pay into it. Last year we wound up raising 12,000 from channel 6, from the solar bears, from our fans. And more importantly from an advocacy standpoint we were able to generate over 7 million impressions on social media. We would like to raise more money and raise more awareness for the cause. The most important thing is there are solutions and andre and his team have proven that out. And now its okay. But we expect a great crowd and a fun night and to have the Church Community<\/a> and the faith come together with so many social advocates and join us for a night, its a lot of fun and we cant wait for that game to get here. Its that simple. And the viral effect, this unique opportunity for us to promote it on television, the game. Using all of our resources as an organization, our partners got involved, city soccer retweeted and magic retweeted and all of the Board Members<\/a> that have come together. Andre has done an incredible job pulling together all of the sector sectors to join in this effort. Public, private. Faith based, the sports community. Anybody that has a voice has come together to help in this cause and we are making a difference. So even if you are not going even if you dont, that hashtag, rethink homelessness, what do you do before the game . What do you do after the game . How does it work . Get on twitter or facebook or insta gram or snap chat, tag whatever you are posting. If you are watching the game at home. Take a picture of you watching the game on channel 6. Get involved, be part of it. I know the fans throughout the game and for every time rethink homelessness pops up, we will donate a partner. We are asking some of our partners to do the same.
