I think by 4 5 00 this afternoon, dealing with showers and maybe heavy downpours. Reporter thanks so much. This morning a pair of dog nappers are on the run. Surveillance video at the puppy shop on east Colonial Drive shows two suspects wandering the store. Then one leaves before the other bolts out with a 2,000 puppy. News 6 s Amanda Castro tells us how this quick heist happened. And how they close that door for one second. He took off. Reporter the dog thief caught on camera accused of and the guy holding the yorkie bolted out the door and before eddie knew it, he was already across the street and couldn t catch up with him. Reporter owner Charles Black say the man and woman are seen on the store surveillance cameras. They spend about an hour looking at puppies going crib to crib and sometimes just standing for minutes talking to each other. Weren t going to pay for the dog. They were just waiting for the right moment where he could bolt with the dog. Reporter the woman left, supposedly to get her credit card. Then minutes later the man runs out of the store with the dog. This is the second time someone stole a yorkie from this store in 3 months. Cameras were rolling in november when a woman was caught trying to put a dog in her purse. And in 2013, Surveillance Video caught a man stuffing a pug down his pants. They were arrested. When you come in and steal from us, you know, with we get you you ll pay full price and justin that was Amanda Castro reporting. The owners tell news 6 they re offering a 250 reward for any information that helps lead them to an arrest. This morning we re working to find out how a Volusia County toddler is doing after they were bitten by a dog. It happened yesterday at this home in delion springs on commerce avenue. The 19 month old was air lifted to Arnold Palmer with the bite on the head. Deputies say the initial description of the dog was a pit bull. Animal control is investigating. Just days before her ex boyfriend s suspected trial, the mother of a missing jacksonville toddler, londsey barton, took the stand against reuben ebron, the prime suspect in the case. The Surveillance Video show state ambushed his patrol car. He fired at point blank range. The officer was hit 3 times. Archer was arrested near the scene and later told police he police say there is no indication the shooter was tied to a larger terror plot, but the fbi and the department of Homeland Security are also now investigating.
