attorney general is saying this is nothing more than dirty politics. state police are standing behind statements made by troopers. >> that was based on the henchmen. they are running a campaign with dirty politics. pulling out some memo that some henchmen wrote two or three years ago. >> that henchman is the state trooper assigned to protect him. he gets security and driving services from the state police. but according to state police memos, officers say he sometimes tried to take over on the road, putting himself and the officers assigned to him at risk by using excessive speed to beat traffic. >> it has nothing to do with politics. those comments were upsetting to the state police. me personally and to the state police. we stand behind the troopers. they are not making anything up. >> there were concerns about the attorney general's behavior. he said the complaints were motivated by duty and not politics. >> the comment that he is a henchman was totally inappropriate. >> gensler questions the timing of the relations -- of the revelations. the story broke as he was prepared to announce his running mate. reports say he misused his security detail to get him to events are "100%
