But attorneys for several states oppose that, saying a restraining order against the ban should remain in place. A lawyer for Washington State unconstitutional and damaging. Whats the irreparable harm to the state of washington . We had students and faculty at our state universities who were stranded overseas. We had families that were separated. We had longtime residents who could not travel overseas to visit their families without knowing that they would be able to come back. A decision by the Appeals Court is expected in the next few days. But whatever that decision says, either side will be able to appeal to the supreme court. While the Trump Administration waits for that decision, its showing no signs of backing down on its favorite target, the news media. Officials are refusing to back away from claims that some terror attacks are underreported. So the president and some of his surrogates had sharp words about that topic.
