it was dark and nobody answered the door. alison: a kentucky county clerk jailed for refusing to issue marriage licenses to same-sex couples dave her first interview to abc news today. >> would were there when the kids were told to leave by the secret service. alison: now the agency is apologizing. jay korff has why this happened. leon, it has to do with the president's motorcade. are rules and regulations associated with the motorcade, which left saturday night, but it also left a lot of kids with cancer and their parents out in the cold. the secret service abides by strict protocols closing pennsylvania avenue and lafayette square when the presidential motorcade leaves the white house. saturday, kids attending a permitted event in lafayette square were impacted by these policies. >> we were thrown to the curb, basically. 7 news attended the event, which included speeches by kids battling cancer. >> this last year and a half has been a living hell. jay: about an hour before the president left and until he returned, the secret service kicked them out of the park. >> we were told we needed to leave. it's like our kids are not that them. hours, the kids and their parents, despite being held back by fencing, marshaled on. gates keeping us out, but it will not stop us. jay: before leaving, they raised their candles. it's hard to say anybody inside was watching. askedon
