Now back down from the mountain the minnesota native still cant believe it. Glad to be there. Also glad to have it behind me and just overjoyed with the view that you can obtain from the summit. Reporter for 29 days the veteran climber tackled some of the toughest terrain and brutal conditions known to man. Many others havent survived. Trekking his way up the summit where winter winds clock up to 100 miles an hour on some peaks and temperatures plunge to 51 degrees below zero. So mentally its difficult because youre doing it in the dark and youre doing it solo. My body was healthy and i just kept an eye on the weather and kept moving.
