oscars. good tuesday morning to you all. we start with breaking news as we get new details on a deadly plane crash in southern california. >> the small plane crashing into homes. on board a family returning from disneyland. this new video from a surveillance camera showing the plane, a cessna, shortly after takeoff. it's above homes and dropping from the skies quickly. people nearby felt the ground shake and seconds later you see that fireball there. that fire burned for hours overnight destroying the two homes and damages a third. >> authorities say three people are dead. two others made it out of the wreckage alive and no one on the ground was injured. abc's alex stone has the latest. >> reporter: moments after the plane slammed into a home in this neighborhood, witnesses with their cell phones recording, flames raging. neighbors say as they ran up a woman who identified herself on fire. >> we see this lady, she was crawling. half of her clothes were on fire and she said i need help. >> reporter: a teacher at a nearby school saying they saw the plane flying too low, clearly going to crash. the alert going out to all firefighters responding. >> units en route to the alert 3. rps are advising the plane hit a residence and the residence is on fire. >> reporter: now after hours of serving nobody on the ground was killed. three of the victims on board the plane died. two adult women on the plane survived. >> they were here from san jose for a cheer conference that is at disneyland this week, so, unfortunate we had that situation. >> reporter: the plane a twin engine cessna 310 had just taken off likely full of fuel from the riverside airport heading to san jose, california. seconds later it went down. when firefighters arrived o scene, they had no idea how many people were inside the home or how many had been on the plane. pieces of the plane could be seen scattered around the remains of the home. the ntsb and faa are beginning to investigate. alex stone, abc news, los angeles. >> and as alex mentioned the pilot crawled out of the wreckage and people helped get her to safety but she kept calling for her daughter. we hope to learn more about why the plane crashed. a live report from the scene later on "good morning america." and president trump is ready to address congress and the country in a prime time speech tonight. >> he's expected to cover protests against him and gop lawmakers. the president told fox news that former president obama is responsible for the angry crowds turning up at republican town halls. he's also blaming him for leaking coming from the white house. >> no, i think that president obama is behind it because his people are certainly behind it and some of the leaks possibly some of the leaks which are really serious leaks because they're very bad in terms of national security. but i also understand that's politics and in terms of him being behind things, that's politics and it will probably continue. >> now, president trump did not offer up any evidence to support that claim. so far no comment from president obama. in the meantime, the white house is pushing back against allegations that the trump campaign staffers coordinated with russia to influence the election and insist there is no need for a special prosecutor because there is nothing left to investigate but the fbi is still investigating this case and so is congress. the leading democrat on the house intelligence committee says they hadn't called a single witness yet and it was premature to reach any conclusions. jewish organizations are calling for a strong federal response after another string of bomb threats. nearly two dozens dents took place yesterday in 12 states. this comes a week after the jewish community center association revealed there had en month. the jcc is calling for the federal government to find those responsible. well, the threat of severe weather is moving across the country this morning with some 90 million americans in the path. it stretches from texas into the ohio valley today with heavy rain, powerful winds and hail all possible including tornadoes. now, wednesday the system will threaten the east coast as you can see here and heavy weather is also moving out of southern california triggering flooding in san diego and in the higher elevation, as well, up to a foot of snow possible from
