street corridor. there are about 10 fire trucks and several ambulances on scene. you can see the people who have been brought out of this apartment building. it happened about 10:30 this morning. ders montgomery county police officer is in the hospital in serious condition after a crash. the officer was hit last night on rockville pike during a traffic stop. brianne carter has details on the down the road. you can see where it is believed the car traveled out and came back in. the driver of the striking vehicle stayed on scene. , still in theicer hospital. police say this happened at 9:45 last night. the officer was conducting a routine traffic stop. he was struck by the other vehicle. the driver of the other vehicle staying on the scene. the police officer with serious injuries, taken to an area hospital. they are looking into all factors, including whether out call may have played a factor in this case. officer, who has not been identified, has been on the job for less than five
