fall. traffic stopped and the drivers got out of their cars to help, running to that branch that you see on your screen. all the pedestrians began running, and they were asking, is anybody under there? there were hundreds of tourists around, and nobody had any idea how many people were trapped under the limb. >> it came right down, and everyone tried to lift the branch off of her. sam: it took only seconds for the massive limb to fall in the height of the afternoon tourist rush, and only seconds after that, this is what it looks like, doesn't of good samaritans rushing in to help. washington state firefighter >> we saw a lady trapped by a big branch, and her legs were caught. she was bleeding from the head. sam: before firefighters arrived, onlookers encircled the tree on both sides, and on the count of three they lifted the fallen limb. >> we lifted the branch. my daughter is a nurse. she was putting traction on the head, and some but he got her legs out of their. >> there was some blood from her head. sam: the injured woman's son and husband looked on in horror. within minutes, police and firefighters arrived, stabilized the woman, and took her off in the ambulance. when the woman left the scene, she was conscious and alert. as for the tree, they are working to get rid of it, but in the meantime two lanes of constitution remain blocked in northwest d.c. back to blue, and silver lines between eastern market and minnesota avenue and the benning road stations as well as between rosslyn and arlington cemetery. that's not all. the stadium, armory, and potomac the driver of that van with six counts of involuntary the driver is also charged with reckless driving in yesterday morning's crash that killed six people. police say the van, packed with 16 people, 11-year-old girl. this happened late yesterday at the target store in merryfield. the girl told police a man grabbed her from behind when she was shopping with her father. investigators say a security more of that. right now, feels pretty good out there considering we are in the mid to upper 80's. 87 degrees and the breeze out of the southwest. the number we want to focus on is the dew point, which measures how much moisture is in the air and how muggy it feels. put that on the dew point meter for you. that still feels good, that puts us in a pleasant category, but monday we work our way up closer to 60, so feeling sticky. by tuesday, we get around this area, more of the uncomfortable or even oppressive levels, so that humidity really returns for us on tuesday. tomorrow is still not too bad. we are hanging in the 80's, with mostly clear skies and relatively comfortable. overnight tonight, the air is dry and we will cool off, 59 to 68 through the area, looking for cooler temperatures farther west. around d.c. in the mid to upper 60's. tomorrow, not too many kids still going to school, but at the bus stop 69 in the morning, 85 at recess, 90 on the way home. 92 in winchester. 94 in leesburg. 94 in frederick. closer to d.c., similar temperatures, 93 and 94's on the board. 92 in clinton. farther south, a little closer to the river, but not by a whole lot. 89 in patuxent. farther west, 92 in front royal, 91 in luray. tuesday, we have a chance for rain and thunderstorms. spotty showers early in the morning, but not a whole lot going on at 9:00 a.m. working our way towards lunchtime, that's when some of the showers start to pop up, and they stick around for us into the early evening. where the majority of these storms fire up, then get a little stronger, will be to the south. the color yellow, predominantly south of fredericksburg, but still a chance for stronger, even severe thunderstorms across the majority of the dmv. a very important day to be weather aware. 40%
