scott: again, what we know tonight. four are dead including the attacker. at least 20 others injured. british investigators are calling it a terror attack. i'll have much more at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. or when news breaks. if you have to step away from the tv stay connected with abc7 online and the mobile devices. we're updating platforms. michelle: the terror attack in london comes one year to the day after the coordinated attack in brussels. today at the airport, a memorial held for the victims, 32 people were killed when isis launched an attack there. and on brussels subway system. a minute of silence was held to remember the victims. alison: back at home and developing in d.c. a murder mystery today. a woman visiting d.c. found dead in the basement of a capitol hill apartment. the killer believed to have taken off in her car. our d.c. bureau chief sam ford has a desperate manhunt. sam in sam: -- sam? sam: the police are on the scene 24 hours after the body was found in the basement apartment here. according to police, 34-year-old corrina mehiel was living temporarily here in d.c. and we have learned she was working on a short-term gallery of art. the woman was unconscious and they found mehiel tied up and stabbed to death. no sign of forced entry. they say her car a 2004 prius with kentucky plates is missing. the police chief said they are seeking the public's health. particularly neighbors around 14th street northeast. >> my biggest message to them is if they have information about the car, which we believe at some point was in that block and they may have come or go. that would be valuable to get to the bottom of the case. sam: we see the police right now are dusting for fingerprints in that apartment. a search of social media shows she has been involved in the art projects in a number of places including cincinnati and asheville, north carolina. she was from bu carolina. we'll have more on the story coming up on "abc7 news at 5:00". reporting live from northeast washington, i'm sam ford, abc7 news. alison: thank you, sam. new from d.c. police today an update in the murder of ayana mcallister. a 19-year-old woman who was visiting home during spring break. police hope they have found a lead. she was shot while friends were recording a music video. the detectives are hoping the video will give them a look at her killer. michelle: on the hill, day three of neil gorsuch's confirmation hearings. to major -- no major alerts so far. this is a look as they are going on today. democratic senators pressed him on abortion rights and money in politicians. alison: meanwhile, a new twist today in the wiretap claims and relationship with russia. so house intelligence chairman nunez, a republican, is now saying sources told him members of trump's transition team and possibly could have been surveilled. just moments ago, the president was asked about it. >> do you feel vindicated by chairman nunez? scott: again, what we know tonight. four are dead including the attacker. at least 20 others injured. british investigators are calling it a terror attack. i'll have much more at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. or when news breaks. if you have to step away from the tv stay connected with abc7 online and the mobile devices. we're updating platforms. michelle: the terror attack in london comes one year to the day after the coordinated attack in brussels. today at the airport, a memorial held for the victims, 32 people were killed when isis launched an attack there. and on brussels subway system. a minute of silence was held to remember the victims. alison: back at home and developing in d.c. a murder mystery today. a woman visiting d.c. found dead in the basement of a capitol hill apartment. the killer believed to have taken off in her car. our d.c. bureau chief sam ford has a desperate manhunt. sam in sam: -- sam? sam: the police are on the scene 24 hours after the body was found in the basement apartment here. according to police, 34-year-old corrina mehiel was living temporarily here in d.c. and we have learned she was working on a short-term gallery of art. the woman was unconscious and they found mehiel tied up and stabbed to death. no sign of forced entry. they say her car a 2004 prius with kentucky plates is missing. the police chief said they are seeking the public's health. particularly neighbors around 14th street northeast. >> my biggest message to them is if they have information about the car, which we believe at some point was in that block and they may have come or go. that would be valuable to get to the bottom of the case. sam: we see the police right now are dusting for fingerprints in that apartment. a search of social media shows she has been involved in the art projects in a number of places including cincinnati and asheville, north carolina. she was from bu carolina. we'll have more on the story coming up on "abc7 news at 5:00". reporting live from northeast washington, i'm sam ford, abc7 news. alison: thank you, sam. new from d.c. police today an update in the murder of ayana mcallister. a 19-year-old woman who was visiting home during spring break. police hope they have found a lead. she was shot while friends were recording a music video. the detectives are hoping the video will give them a look at her killer. michelle: on the hill, day three of neil gorsuch's confirmation hearings. to major -- no major alerts so far. this is a look as they are going on today. democratic senators pressed him on abortion rights and money in politicians. alison: meanwhile, a new twist today in the wiretap claims and relationship with russia. so house intelligence chairman nunez, a republican, is now saying sources told him members of trump's transition team and possibly could have been surveilled. just moments ago, the president was asked about it. >> do you feel vindicated by chairman nunez? president trump: i somewhat do. i somewhat do. i appreciated the fact that they found what they found. i somewhat do. alison: so nunez stressed here that this was legal. this was normal. it was incidental collection through the foreign intelligence surveillance act. but some of it was inappropriate. it comes with the new revelation about a former campaign manager cozy ties with russia. kenneth moton has the latest on that. kenneth: today, new questions about the person that was once the trump man in charge. paul manafort. the "associated press" out with a report in 2005 a decade before manafort worked for candidate trump he was secretly on the payroll of the russian billionaire deros russian president vladimir putin. the a.p. obtained business documents that they say shows manafort launched ambitious pro-putin strategy for millions of dollars. >> is there any tie between you and your campaign and putin and the regime? >> no, there are not. obsured. no by a -- sured -- it's absurd and no basis for it. >> now he says that smear and innuendo are used to paint a false picture. this week his name brought up several times after the f.b.i. confirmed investigation in the trump campaign in russia. >> is manafort a subject in your investigation? michelle: see you then. thank you. downtown, a fourth security scare at the white house in less than two weeks but this time the fence worked. jeff goldberg is outside the white house. the security is constantly being tested. jeff: yes, it is. last night incident happened at the southwest grounds. this is a different location. a lot of the situations in the past happening on the north side. what happened last night a man tried to climb over the fence. but he got entangled on the top. the clothing getting stuck in the spikes there. he was apprehended shortly after that. situation. this follows an incident on saturday night in which a man from roanoke tried to get in the white house saying he had an appointment with the president. then he said he had a bomb in his car. he was arrested after that. also on saturday, another man jumping from a bike rack to prohibited area. he was arrested after that. the incident we have been talking about for a couple of weeks march 10, tv-year-old jonathan tran of california on the white house grounds for 16 minutes before being taken into custody. >> to have somebody steps from the president and get over the fence is embarrassing. >> people just want to get out there and get in the media. >> if they don't get that far, it's not, i don't think it's a big problem then. jeff: secret service is visible everywhere around the white house today. one of the issues looked at is increase the size of the fence from 12 feet to 13 feet. that is under consideration now. coming up at 5:30. we will hear from the security analyst who says the height of the fence should not be the primary concern. live in northwest washington, jeff goldberg, abc7 news. alison: thank you. coming up next at 4:00, abc7 staying on top on the latest developments in london. michelle: also next, healthcare on the hill. where it stands right now before tomorrow's key vote on the bill. alison: a little bit later changes are coming to the reagan national airport. first look at the construction project that will give the airport a much-needed facelift. >> plus, can breast implants give you cancer in the f.d.a. makes national headlines today. i have an update to the "7 on your side" investigation regarding women' michelle: if you are just joining us -- alison: an update on breaking news of the day. three people killed, more than 20 injured in a terror attack in london. the suspect is also dead. now the head of counterterrorism says a search is underway to make sure that there are no other attackers. the white house condemned the attack. president trump is monitoring the developments. now to a consumer alert. news is reverberating the country. michelle: we are talking about a possible link between interest implant and cancer. consumer investigator kimberly suiters has a major development this week. kimberly: it really is. the f.d.a. warned consumers that certain implants may cause lymphoma, cancer of the immune system. take a look. when "7 on your side" first reported about the implant and the cancer in february, the f.d.a. would only say there was a possible association. they have evidence that the textured implants likely caused lymphoma. this woman said she was never warned before the reconstructive surgery there was a rare and increased risk to develop another cancer. >> people all the time say you chose the implants. i didn't choose cancer. neither time. i can guarantee you if i had a choice and i i was about to put in my body could give me cancer, that is a choice. kimberly: something to note. the french f.d.a. says there is a clear link between implant and lymphoma. the world health organization says it can develop. they are also pointing to textured implant rather than smooth is problematic. silicon or saline was not matter here.
