The winds finally dying down tomorrow night. All these little blue dots you see, the dark blue, are wind damage reports, and the lighter blue are high wind gusts about 129 as we can count them through the midatlantic area reported so far and no surprise with the high winds. One of the reports is in kensington we received a report of a wind gust there that was in the upper 50s to about 58 Miles Per Hour. That is a really strong wind gust but very typical of what we dealt with around the area. Kensington is where we find abc 7 meteorologist josh knight who was out during the height of the storm chasing the wind and found the effects there in kensington. Josh absolutely, doug. And around a lot of the area youll see things like this. This fell down in many places. One of the biggest trees ive been able to find down is here in kensington. Were on parkwood court. You can see the tree looks pretty dead. It was in the back yard before the storms moved through, fell through the roof there, and and down ont yard the hill. The home owners didnt want to talk on camera but one neighbor told us this was not a unusual thunderstorm. Yeah. It was like a hurricane wind for a moment, and as it rushed through the court and the wires were shaking we heard this crash. It wasnt raining or thundering. We saw the tree fall into the house. Josh now, heres the really good news. I guess kind of the scary news is one of the home owners was actually inside when the tree came down but we did get a chance to chat with her. She said the kids are understandably a little shaken up. In kensington, meteorologist josh knight. Back to you guys. Thank you.
