When you woke up, the snow was mostly clear from the roads but really created beautiful scenes. Look at this one. Its the memorial corps memorial in arlington. With the snow melting away we look to other chances of wintry weather. Stormwatch7s chief meteorologist doug hill has the forecast. Doug, there is a close eye on tomorrow mornings commute, right . Doug the difference this morning the ground level temperatures were warm and the roads had been treated. We think tomorrow morning the temperatures will probably be in the mid20s in many areas. We have another little disturbance coming in across the great lakes. It looks like this will stay to the north. We think the best chance for dusting to a light coating is north of the area. No advisories in effect but the key is cold temperatures there. Could be icy spots in the areas that get the snow developed quickly in the morning commute hours. That is something we are concerned. With we had snowshowers around the area on good part of t day. 20 miles east here there is a snowshower going through. That is the story longer. Generally clear tonight and the clouds increase late tonight with the lows in the 20s. We keep an eye on the future cast that tracks in tonight. We will see how much will hold together. A suspect is in custody after six people were shot and killed while praying at a mosque last night. Five people were critically injured in the attack and 12 others suffered minor injuries. Police say a gunman came in the Quebec Islamic Culture Centre during the evening prayer and opened fire. Two men were arrested after the shooting but Police Say One of them is we take care together as a brother. We love each other. Q Canadian Police are treating the attack as an act of terrorism. They say they dont believe there are other suspects but investigators are working to make sure that is, in fact, the case. Alison back here at homenow, we have an update in the Deonte Carraway case. A major child porn and sex abuse investigation. As abc7 reported last week, carraway was expected to plead guilty in court today. And he did. Our Maryland Bureau chief brad bell is in greenbelt. Brad, this is certainly far from over. Brad no, its not over. We have been covering this every step of the way since the story broke last february. This is a big day in federal court. This is the plea agreement, the statement of facts. On the back, Deonte Carraways did these terrible crimes. The Deonte Carraway case is one of the most notorious child porn and abuse cases in the regions history. Working first as a teachers aide, then as a volunteer at judge Sylvania Elementary School in glenarden. Carraway victimized nearly two dozen boys and girls from 9 to 11, forcing them to appear with him and each other in pornographic videos he recorded on his cell phones. Today in court, a judge asked carraway if he is guilty and he replied in a voice sounding almost cheerful yes, maam. The consequence of this plea today is that those children will not be required to testify in federal court. They can go on with their recovers. Brad u. S. Attorney explaining even with making a deal with prosecutors to avoid trial the 23yearold carraway faces a minimum of 60 years in prison behind bars. A group of parents of victims attended todays arraignment in federal court in greenbelt. The parents of abused children we are protecting their identities. One told us she was satisfied. The u. S. Attorney says one of those parents likely saved many more children by spotting a lurid photo on his 9yearolds phone. Its critical for parents to know who your children are spending time with. Both the adults about the kids that they are spending time with. They may be in school, or in a place you believe is a safe place but you still need to know who they are spending their time with. Now those actual parents we are protecting their identity. A third victim 28yearold xue zou was fatally wounded and pronounced dead at the hospital. The regular slowdown trying to make it toward the truck scales and beyond in place this afternoon. On the beltway we can take a look at the actual delays for you. Heavy in the usual spots on the inner and the outer loops through part of bethesda. This is the inner and the outer loop here near river river to georgetown pike. The inner loop delays take you from old georgetown road to university boulevard. 66 is also beginning to slow for the ride back toward the centreville area. Westbound delays from 495 to just past 123. Sluggish here at georgetown road. You can see the trek through fairfax county. That should slow down because skies are clearing but tomorrow morning it starts over again. There is an area of low pressure north of minneapolis. You can see the band of snow. That is the one that will expand in our direction. This is a trough of low pressure. You know what is inside the trough of low pressure . A warm front. The warm front is going to come here through the midday. We are getting close to 50 degrees tomorrow afternoon when the front goes through. But before then, that is when we have the opportunity especially in the morning 5 00 to 7 00, 5 00 to 8 00, Something Like that of snow coming through. On the shortterm forecast on the future cast you see the band is going to swing. Most of the energy will stay north of town. Thats why we think the best chance of any patchy slippery spots, snow glazing the road or dusting will probably be more north of town than anywhere else. There are no advisories in effect. I wont rule it out being issued later tonight but for now that is the story. We see the clouds roll back in. 24 to 30 degrees overnight. Plenty cold. The the track of this thing. Tom we are in the arlington mill section of south arlington. Police are investigating what they are calling a suspicious death. The investigation going on in the apartment to my left. Off of seventh road south. This is a second floor apartment, police tell me, where they received a call earlier in afternoon and a little after 2 00 found a 57yearold man dead. At this point they are not calling this a homicide. They are just calling at it suspicious death. They wouldnt say exactly what made the death suspicious. But they say right now they are interviewing two people they call witnesses to try to find out more information about what happened out here. Mexicanamerican food, a carryout here which reopened today for the First Time Since the owner of the restaurant was shot last wednesday on the street by an armed robber. Police released Surveillance Video of the incident. The robber seen on several cameras approaching and accosting the carryout owner as she leaves with the days receipt. She doesnt comply when faced down a gun. She says no and reaches to grab the shooters mask. He shoots her several times, takes the money and flees. The victims family was stunned but not surprised by her reaction to a robbery. The lady that was shot was my mom. That is how she is. Shes a fighter. She always fights. That is how she is. When we heard we were like oh, gosh, i bet mommy was fighting. That is what we said. Sure enough she was sam we are back live here. We have mr. David smith. Brianne well, alison, more than six hours after first being discovered that she was out of her enclosure which is just down the walkway, tonight the search is still on for the missing bobcat. Zoo Officials Say the 25pound bobcat escaped from her enclosure around 10 30 this morning. Zoo Officials Say they discovered a hole in the exhibit mesh enclosure. It didnt look like a deliberate act. One of the ropes broke than left an open 6 x 6, the biggest. We believe that is the area she got out. Brianne while the search continues, the area around the bobcat exhibit remains closed to visitors. Using video and baiting technique to make the habitat more enticing, zoo officials are now trying to draw her back in. Our best bet is to back off and let her try to come back to an area she is familiar with. She is familiar with her exhibit, she is familiar with where she gets fed. Brianne zoo officials describe ollie as standoffish, not a particularly friendly cat. While bobcats are not known to be aggressive, anyone who spots ollie is asked not to approach her. Zoo officials tell us she is not necessarily a threat unless you become a threat to her.
