Pulled someone over in his squad car and come up to the window to deal with the woman in a traffic stop. Had his phone hidden under his ticket book and snapped one of those upskirt shots. Today he was indicted on a number of charges. Including surveillance for purian intent and misconduct in office. The police chief saying he is disgusted. I will say as disgusted i am to have to come in front of the public to talk about this, this is the process. When we find misconduct we will address it effect live effectively, and immediately and hold individuals accountable. Had to say. When we come back at 6 00 we will have more on the story, how the investigation laid out and more details on the allegations as well. The Prince Georges County headquarters brad bell, abc7 news. Jonathan thanks. You can probably already feel it outside. Its starting but we are on the verge of another heatwave across the area. This is a scorcher. Chief meteorologist doug hill with the forecast. We almost dodged a bullet today. Felt not too bad out there. Doug the moisture content slowly starting to climb. Definite increase in the moisture levels and the temperatures the next few days. At the moment, its gorgeous outside. Plenty of sunshine in Belle Haven Country Club in alexandria. Still comfortable. 90 in manassas. 91 in leesburg. 87 in baltimore. 87 at andrews. 88 degrees at Reagan National airport. If you have outdoor plans, no worries act worry a as we get to the nighttime it will become more muggy. The humidity levels will slowly rise. With the frontal system to the north i dont think we have to worry about this so much but it indicates a possibility tomorrow morning with a boundary in the air that maybe, maybe early in the morning a few hours of cloudy skies and maybe a passing shower or two. Then the heat ramps up in a big way. We will lay out the numbers. The highs, lows, heat index and the rest through the upcoming weekend. Jonathan thanks. With the chance of storms in the next few days now would be a good time to download the stormwatch7 app for your phone or tablet by going to itunes or google play store. It is free. A handy resource. Michelle in vote 2016 news the last night of the Republican Convention will feature football star fran tarkenton, r. N. C. Chairman, Reince Priebus and reverend Jerry Falwell before trump takes the stage to accept the on the other side in the next two days we should find out who is on the ticket with Hillary Clinton this november. A lot of speculation focused on virginia senator tim kaine. Northern Virginia Bureau chief Jeff Goldberg is live outside the naval observe story in d. C. After kaine observatory in d. C. After kaine made several appearances today. Jeff he did. Tim kaine having appearances today but all the questions now as to whether or not he will be the man occupy the residents next year. If he is chosen to be be Hillary Clintons v. P. Pick. There is certainly a lot of indications that could very well be the case. We caught up with tim kaine earlier today in arlington following the closed door round table on immigration issues. Kaine calling for immigration legislation to pass in congress. Tim kaine said he is happy with the role as a senator from vass and he is not seeking a new job senator from virginia and he is not seeking a new job but many media reports have him top three contender along with agriculture secretary vilsak. He was vetted in 2008 so he is used to the business. But says it is surreal all over again. Is it strange . It is. It is. We are excited about philly. Im looking forward to being there with the virginia delegation. I know the virginia delegation is bumped about it. It will be a great week next week. Jeff whether or not tim kaine is accepting the Vice President ial nomination next week in philadelphia will be determined likely tomorrow or the next day in florida. That is where Hillary Clinton will be campaigning and expecting to be making this big announcement. Now tim kaine has a big supporter in Hillary Clintons inner circle. We will tell you who that is and talk to a man who believes job. All that coming up in an hour. Jonathan thanks. Back to the republicans. This is a big night for them. Get to the backlash of what some call senator ted cruzs snub. Lets listen. I am not in the habit of supporting people who attack my wife and attack my father. Intend like all of just to listen and make the best judgment i can and every one of us i think has to follow our conscience. Jonathan still not saying he is going to vote for him. Scott thuman in cleveland. Reaction is pouring in about cruzs lack of endorsement. What can we expect to hear tonight . This has to be the big night. Scott absolutely. It will be different from what we saw last night. If you listen Jeff Goldberg doing good reporting on whether or not tim kaine is in the prime stop to possibly be named hillary last night was supposed to be about mike pence. But instead it was ted cruzs speech, the defiant speech that stole all the thunder. Mike pence is an afterthought in many of the headlines this morning and throughout the day as we were talking with people. What we will see today is different. No one feels the show from donald trump so dont expect it to happen. His daughter is introducing him and will probably get high marks for her speech as well. But donald trump is the ultimate showman. We will see it tonight. We continue to say love him or loathe him, it doesnt matter. He is the man at least tonight that people will be paying attention to. And the big question is he going to do so in a reconcerned, calm, president ial way we have seen him act at times or feed off the energy of the crowd. They are rabid for more donald trump to family get the time after four days of listening to other people. Jonathan let me ask you this. Two things. One, do you think ted cruz a very big stage . Two, what is the tone and message donald trump has to adopt and get through to voters tonight, especially the voters still sitting on the sidelines wondering if they want to vote in this election . Scott great question. The first, not necessarily political suicide. But what we are seeing here the movement behind donald trump is one that lasts. If he wins they will be more encouraged and decide this is the path forward. If you dont get in line with this type of candidacy we wont support you in a general election. It doesnt mean he couldnt still win in texas and win a senate seat there. But in a National Election if this Movement Continues forward, he is in trouble. As far as what we hear from donald trump and how he will win over the voters he has had the rahrah for a few nights. He will be out there and be critical of Hillary Clinton. One thing that might be different tonights theme is being unified. So he is going to say i am the guy to bring us altogether . Something that president obama said as a candidate in 2008 . Who knows . Well keep an eye and have live reports throughout the evening. Jonathan thank you. Join us tonight at 7 00 for a special about the fourth and the final day of the Republican National convention.
