going on and twisters, nasty, nasty twisters out there. at least 15 we're talking about. you're seeing some of the damage here that these things can do. one of these tornadoes a report a baby was ripped from the mother's arms. >> that tornado killed 13 people in mexico just a couple of miles from the texas border. and it flattened about 200 homes. >> and across texas, flash floods leaving six dead 12 missing, laning water from swollen rivers spilling into streets, homes and cars. coverage begins with abc's phillip mena. >> stay out of harm's way. save your life. >> governor greg abbott pleaded with tex tans to obey evacuation orders as he added 24 countries to his disaster declaration comparing the floodwaters to a tsunami. >> this is the highest flood we've ever had. in recorded from tornadoes. like this one than rampaged next door in a mexican town demolishing buildings, twisting this car around the hollowed shell of a home. in texas, hundreds of homes have been destroyed. weather occurring over the deep south and also the western tennessee valley. that's later on this afternoon. hard hit cities such as austin and houston and dallas and oklahoma city you're not going to be so much in that area but we are very concerned about the western tennessee valley for additional flash flooding and some severe weather. not a very high risk for tornadoes but there will likely be damaging winds and also some large hail. spotty thunderstorms throughout the northeast. but it is going to be heating up. that's big story here. again later on today and wednesday, real feel turned terrifying when a waterspout sent a bounce house fly. onlookers watched in horror as it first rolled and then you see it right there lifting into the air. three children were inside at the time. fortunately, they were tossed out before the bounce house went airborne. >> i dred it for the children that were on it. my heart sunk when i saw it go up into the air thinking of how many children got hurt. >> all three children were taken to the hospital. two were treated for minor fractures and released. the third is in stable condition and being held for observation. >> stay in florida. dangerous rip currents surging have become deadly now. three people died in separate incidents along the eastern coast. lifeguards rescued more than 500 people in the past 24 hours over the holiday weekend, those lifeguards report beach conditions this weekend are some of the worst they've seen in some 20 years. >> a settlement between the city of cleveland and the justice department may be announced today. federal investigators say there was a pattern of excessive force and civil rights violations by the cleveland police department. the deal follows the acquittal of michael brelo, a white police officer who jumped onto the hood of a car and fired 15 shots at a black couple inside. still under investigation, the police shooting death of 12-year-old tamir rice who was holding a toy gun. >> two military fighter jets forced to scramble yesterday escorting an air france flight to new york's kennedy airport after a bomb threat. it was one of six planes threatened. three involving flights at jfk and one at boston airport. tom llamas has the latest. >> tense moments at john f. kennedy airport. threats against three planes. emergency vehicles dispatched. passengers piling onto the tarmac. for air france flight 22 a dramatic end to what began as an ordinarily flight. the jetet takes off from paris, three hours later, an anonymous threat phoned in to maryland state police. there is a bomb on the plane or a chemical weapon. two u.s. f-15 fighter jets are scrambled and escort the plane to new york. passengers on board suspecting nothing. >> the moment we landed i saw all the fire departments. and we said something must have happened. >> you see the police the federal agents. whoo. >> on the ground authorities radio into the pilot. >> do you have anyone ill or sick on the aircraft? >> no, nobody sick. >> with passengers collecting their luggage, the plane searched. no bombs on board. all clear. at least six phone twlets called in about planes around the country. four jets searched. nothing was found. authorities say phone threats happen all the time but the high number that happened today is unusual. tom llamas abc news no. >> a california grandmother is recovering this morning after being stranded for two weeks in the high desert. investigators say diana bidwell and her husband got lost after trying to take a short cut. riders in off-road vehicles found them on sunday. diana was still in the car dehydrated and weak. cecil though did not receive his body discovered nearby. their children now trying to cope with the tragedy. >> this is a very difficult time for them. so they're trying, you know to gather themselves together. >> the couple ate oranges and drank rain water after they were stranded. their car found under some trees and brush which made it impossible to see during aerial searches. >> the family members of b.b. king claim he was murdered. he died earlier this month at his home in las vegas. two of his daughters claim he was poisoned by his business manager and personal assistant. a lawyer representing the estate calls that ridiculous. las vegas police meanwhile say there will be no homicide investigation. >> the clothing giant pack sun pulled one of its t-shirts off the market on memorial day after shoppers found it to be offensive. it features an upside down american flag. one unhappy shopner alabama posted a photo originally thought. >> the trial of an american reporter buy gins today behind closed doors in iran. jason rezaian who works for the "washington post" is charged with espionage. he'll appear with only this comes at a sensitive time in the u.s./iran relations with the nuclear agreement deadline fast approaching. let's turn to cleveland now. the city reached a settlement with the justice department
