A genetic predisposition to triple negative cancers that strike harder and younger. Africanamerican women and caribbean american women in particular get a much more angry form of Breast Cancer than white women do. And its often harder to treat. And because minority women often with greater economic challenges are less likely to seek out medical care, they are often diagnosed when the disease is more advanced. But there is a front line in the battle. Regular mamograms. The challenge has been getting the message out to africanamerican women to caribbeanamerican women, to Hispanic Women that mammograms are important and mammograms save lives. Reporter more controversy is coming to light over the Airline Passenger from west africa, Thomas Eric Duncan, who brought ebola to texas. Duncan was sent home from this dallas hospital on september 25th, even though he had symptoms similar to an ebola infection. N told a nurse that he had come from ebolaravaged west africa. If you get that kin of information, you have to act on it. Reporter officials did not act until after duncan was admitted to the same hospital on september 28th. Now everybody who came in contact with him is under close observation, leaving some of his neighbors in this dallas apartment complex nervous.
