Industry experts say it will be three to four weeks before levels are back to normal. And wed like to say that things are getting back to normal where the weather is concerned. Can we do that . Eileen its funny. Were below average today. Well be below average again tomorrow and above average on thursday and well fall back. Maureen were nowhere near normal. Eileen no were not why . It is what it is. This is march, this is spring. At least weve seen some sunshine late this evening after mostly cloudy day from the weather bug camera at Army Navy Country club in fairfax. All those clouds finally giving way to some blue skies. Turning out to be a nice evening albeit cool but the clouds filling back in overnight tonight. Its 46 at Reagan National as well as in manassas. 44 in martinsburg. A little bit milder farther southwest. 54 in luray but a cool 39 degrees in annapolis and our average is 58 degrees and i was mentioned were kind of all over the temperature roller coaster ride. Weve got cooler air to the north. A warm front off to our south. Kind of separating this air mass but notice the 70s in nashville and little rock. That air mass will move in for thursday but it will be briefly lit. Our satellite and radar, where that boundary is there are a few showers moving through illinois indiana, back through ohio and i think overnight as the clouds increase that moisture will start spreading eastward as well. Its not a lot, though. Very, very minimal. Still some cloudy skies. Maybe sprinkles. Light showers early tomorrow morning. Again, as this warm front is lifting to the north of us. Were also going to be seeing temperatures overnight in the mid 30s. So most of us will be above freezing. However, as you get a little closer to i81 in some of the valleys and the higher elevations, temperatures may get close enough to freezing that there may be some pockets of freezing rain. I dont think that its going to be anything widespread but i want to caution you of that. Otherwise, mostly cloudy conditions. Most of the overnight will be dry. In fact, ill show you this here on the futurecast which is a simulation of the clouds and rain going forward. I started it at 10 00. Clear skies beginning to fill back in with the cloudiness. Waking up tomorrow morning, it will be gray and cool in the 30s and look at some of these showers. But notice, its not a lot. So it shouldnt do too much to the commute. And also as i was mentioning, just to the southwest of culpepper, a little bit of that purple that indicates the possibility of maybe a little freezing rain but throughout the rest of the day i think more clouds than sun. Temperatures only around 50 degrees. But its by thursday that we really start to soar into the 70s. About 70 degrees. Theres a 70 chance of some showers. Maybe even a thunderstorm as a strong cold front comes through. So keep an eye to the sky for any storms late thursday especially if the kids have any practices outside and then we cool back down into the upper 50s friday. The weekend is going to be dry but oh its going to be cool. 44 saturday. And 50 degrees on sunld. Sunday. Maureen thank you eileen. Nats get quite an honor or dishonor . You should never lose by 31 points at any level and if you do, you have to get back to the basics. With 11 games left in the regular season its time not only to get back to the fundamentals but play some defense. Last night against the warriors they went 11 minutes without a field goal. That was the third quarter. Washington had eight points and six of those came at the freethrow line. One basket. Six of the 11 games are here at home and they better get squared away where it will be a quick out at the playoffs.
