Tonight, Law Enforcement officials tell abc7 news wint hired a taxi to drive him back to d. C. From Brooklyn New York where he was said to be visiting a girlfriend. Its believed that wint may have used the money stolen from the savapoulos home to pay for the ride. According to Court Documents released last week, 40,000 was brought to the savapoulos home may 14. While mr. And mrs. Savapoulos, their son and housekeeper were held inside. Investigators didnt find the money at the home. But money orders and a large stack of 100 bills were found inside vehicles wint was traveling with during his arrest. Court documents also allege wint may not have been working alone. Court documents show a Green Construction vest found inside the familys burned porsche. Several other green vests were found in the savapoulos garage. The affidavit says a witness saw the blue porsche being driven by a man with short wellgroomed hair. A description that doesnt match wints appearance. Law enforcement officials now say the autopsy on the little boy has been completed. At this point though police are only saying they are still investigating and awaiting toxicology reports. The Sheriff Department says they are focusing on establishing a timeline in the days before the childs death. Alison we are hearing tonight for the first time for the Good Samaritan who risked his life to save a man who caught on fire at riverdale gas station.
