A mother whose son was attacked at school. A were told that School Officials could not ensure his safety. Well, that is when his mother stepped in. I wish i could have reached through to save him, but i could not. Camench she said her son him, she called an ambulance, and she says she called police. His jaw andcture in was placed on a soft diet for weeks, and today was his first time back at school. I check to make sure he would be there safely, and i asked what they could do to guarantee his safety, and she said they could not do that. She said that came from the principal, something that they denied. Up to the school today sheithdraw the kids, and said she wld excuse them out. Another claim the School System denies. They say officials remain aware of the cell phone video sunday afternoon and that it was forwarded to police. Made awaree was just of it yesterday. The teacher gave me the video of this person with the cell phone, and a few teachers had it, and it was trending all around the school. Everybody had it, but me. She said she took matters into her own hands this morning when she saw a School Resource officer in the building. We call the detective, and he made arrest. It was that simple. The school had not done anything. Still, the mother claims had shenot pushed as hard as did, those boys would still be walking around, but this afternoon, Police Confirmed they arrested both boys at the school and charged them with robbery and assault. ThiSchool System tells us happened off of school property, that they did make contact with police on friday, and that the School Principal will be sending notifications out at the school. Now, back to one of our top stories, that massive sinkhole that opened up on the George Washington parkway that shut down southbound lanes of the parkway between route 123 and spout run parkway. Horace holmes is live on the scene. Are the northbound lanes also closed. Why is that . That is because the president and his motorcade is expected to come through here at any moment. He is coming back from his visit to nih, and the southbound lanes are down, and they closed the northbound lanes over here on the gw parkway, and as far as the southbound lanes, it is because of the sinkhole. They have made a lot of progress, as you have seen behind me. They have filled in the hole and are now waiting for the asphalt to come in so they can smooth over this area. Engineers tell me that the ntsb is here to take a look at this hole. Once they have it all smooth out and filled in, they hope to have 10 00, andne around the ntsb will take a look at it, inspect it, and make a decision to open it up. They hope to have everything opened up southbound on the gw parkway by 10 00, no later than midnight tonight. As far as the northbound lanes, again, a very strange feeling out here, because nothing is going on on the gw parkway at all. Traffic is on the move, traffic on the outer loop of the beltway with a stop in montgomery county, and also for traffic heading south from 270, at a stop as traffic will be coming from the gw parkway, the northbound side which is held up for the moment, so you cannot get on the northbound George Washington parkway, at least for now, and, presumably, we will be able to do that, and, of course, the south
