>> silence is golden when it comes to their performance. >> it is really wonderful to support these causes. you had to be there. outside today, what a wonderful day it was to have a bit of rain. >> we certainly needed it. >> here we are in april april showers -- so many we have had. our temperature outside with the rain showers, it was for a time steady rain even though officially in washington less than a 10th of an inch. out in gaullists almost one- quarter of an inch of rain. -- dulles, almost 1 inch of rain. while it was warm yesterday you can see where the east coast at temperatures well above average. while we have been dry and even dry air to the south east, there are some signs there will be a storm developed into the south that will be bringing in some really needed rain for not only us but much of the southeast. there was a little ripple that came through. there is more rain down to the south around raleigh drum. that is moving out. that is the tail end of it. spots like green fill in and around us, that is the last of it now. you can see folks in southern maryland, charles county, and into southern maryland it out to the lower eastern shore where it has been extremely dry will be seeing some of the leftover showers. tomorrow afternoon crack -- clouds begin to break up. our temperatures will be close to 70 degrees. these are just some high clouds by and large. a lot of sunshine returning. that will be the story. but the time we get into late in the week that will be the next chance for getting a storm forming to the south. maybe a few lingering sprinkles for you folks in southern maryland and the eastern shore which has been so dry. temperatures around 50 degrees a little on the damp side. a fair amount of sunshine after the morning clouds. temperatures getting up into the high 60's, a pleasant afternoon. the next seven days, a lot of sunshine and even warmer as we get into friday and late sunday. that is the chance of some more needed general rains. i think there will be general range, especially for the eastern shore. by the way, we asked in our facebook question it now, did you like the rain today?
