a milwaukee police officer accused of sexual assault has been fired. he's the same police officer who shot and killed a man in sherman of unrest in the neighborhood. deandra corinthios is live from the police administration building downtown with the latest. the family of the man who was shot...sylville smith...says they do not firing the officer brings justice. mpd says dominique haeggan brown was let go because of the sexual assault case...not because of the shooting...which is still under investigation. at sherman park monday night...smith's family gathered guarded by a mock police officer. the tomb stones showed the names of the men whose deaths have sparked protests...including sylville smith's dominique haeggan brown is the now - former mpd officer who shot smith near 44th and auer in august police say smith pointed a gun towards officers...prompting haeggan brown to shoot. haeggan brown is accused of sexually assaulting a man just one day after that. he's facing sexual assault...and prostitution charges. milwaukee police conducted an internal investigation. they s smith shooting...led to heaggan brown's termination. but smith's supporters says the two cases should be connected. in a sense, you cant separate them. he went into a bar right after that and openly discussed that incident and discussed how he could do what he wanted to do and get away with it. sylville smith's family would like the body camera footage of the shooting released. the d-a is still investigating. haeggan brown will be arraigned november 4th. reporting live in milwaukee deandra corinthios fox6 news. a former sheriff's captain is accused of sexually assaulting a woman at an assisted living facility owned by his wife. 73-year-old clarence mielke lived at carey manor in pleasant prairie with his wife, brenda... who operated the residence for disabled adults. according to a criminal complaint... nurses witnessed mielke in the victim's room... engaged in a sexual act last month. when suffers from a degenerative disease -- claimed clarence-also known as skip- had sex with her...quote...'lots of time.' "im in shock. i really am. im like torn apart because like you think the older crowd are going to be ok ya know what i mean. you put them somewhere i mean if that happened to my mom, you know what id do. it's just ridiculous" the complaint says the victim was a residence at carey manor for four carey manor's license has been revoked... and all residents have been relocated to other facilities. mielke faces four counts of sexual assault charges. his first court appearance will be thursday. only on fox six. struck by a car, run over and left injured in the middle of the street. a milwaukee woman-- now suffering from a shattered leg -- hopes the driver of a hit-and-run comes forward, the incident happened saturday night near 20th and morgan avenue. renee anderson went for a walk near her southside the street, she was hit by a car with no lights on. to cover maintenance and repairs. but county supervisors offered a 30-dollar alternative monday morning. some argue the fee is the only legal way to generate new revenue to avoid transit cuts... fare hikes or route cuts. if passed, city of milwaukee residents stand to pay the most. they pay the 75-state vehicle registration fee... a 20-dollar city of milwaukee wheel tax... and possibly... the 30 discovered emails in a letter to congress friday. the timing of the revelation so close to the election has stirred widespread anger. clinton's campaign is arguing comey is applying a double standard of those under the age of 20. two twin boys -- who were 17 years old -- were killed in a drive by shooting. and a 14 year old boy -- who was helping his dad move -- was shot when someone from a passing car fired shots. he later died. the shootings come as chicago police swore in more than 200 new officers. a texas store clerk shoots and kills a customer over a pack of cigarettes. it began when the customer asked the clerk if he could have a pack cigarettes "on credit". the employee refused and the two began to argue... that's when the situation escalated with the customer attempting to reach the clerk behind the counter. surveillance video shows how the clerk pulls out a gun and opens fire. police have questioned the clerk and released him. a grand jury will now decide if he will
