significant snowfall of the season. the department of public works got an early start yesterday, sending out over 100 salt trucks. and while the snow has stopped falling early in the day-- trucks were out late into the night. fox 6 brittany shannon has more. a snow-covered lot... but not after dewayne harris is through. "22:13 pastor asked me could i do the snow down here and here i am 22:16" he plows the lot at unity gospel house of prayer. "21:53 you dont want to try and get it up, put a little salt down to keep everybody safe 22:00" even on the first snow of the season...people here brave the weather...for church. "26:55 maybe a little less full tonight a few people may decide to stay in but for the most part our congregation does come out regardless of the weather 27:01" drivers say the situation sunday was mostly wet... "26:24 the roads were a little bit of water little it of moisture on ground but not too slippery it seemed like the salt trucks had been out a little bit 30" 102 salt trucks to be exact. the department of public works salting evening. we caught up with some people on foot...who say the sidewalks could use some more work. "15:28 slippery really slippery 32" the first snow not scaring people away. church and duty, calling these drivers out.. "23:11 i want to do my part to make sure theyre safe just like the plow trucks are making sure were safe 13" now that winter weather is here, the department of public works reminds drivers to give each other plenty of room on the roads. that includes dpw trucks fox 6 news. meanwhile-- while it was relatively calm on the roads yesterday, a wisconsin state trooper sent out this photo as a reminder to stay safe in the snow. in a facebook post he said: "this is the 1st snowfall of the year and the wisconsin state patrol has already lost a cruiser." the trooper is ok, but suffered from some minor injuries in the crash. happening overnight-- milwaukee police are in shooting in the area of 40th and thurston. happening just before 10 last night-- police say a 25-year-old man was shot during an shooting between him and another person. the 25-year-old was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. the other man involved in the incident is just 19-years-old. he remained on scene and is coopering with police. one of the men arrested in connection to a shootout on i-43 last december will be in court today. martez maclin-dyson was arrested following the incident along with 2 dyson now was arrested and later charged in connection with three previous shootings-- including the murder of tony vance in november of last year. dyson is expected to be in court at 9 a-m today. 4 days of recounted votes are in the books. but as our state continues with the recount efforts-- how much of an impact are we seeing so far? angelica joins us from the newsroom with new information. wisconsin crossed a milestone sunday in the election recount -- more than 1 million votes have now been counted up a second time. reported some or all of their results, president- elect donald trump has picked up about 40 more votes than hillary clinton. six counties have finished their recounts -- none in our area. in racine county, election inspectors worked through the packers game on sunday -- and are now just about halfway-through the count. were not seeing significant changes. its typical of a recount where you go through everything again. you find things where people have used a hand-counting some of those mr trump won wisconsin by more than 22-thousand votes. the recount continues after a federal judge refused to immediately stop it on friday. the judge has scheduled a hearing for this friday to consider the request from two pro-trump groups. kim and jessob. back to you. as for the recounts in two other states-- it's up to the courts whether they even get started. attorneys for jill stein will seek an emergency federal court order in pennsylvania to try and get a statewide michigan-- a judge is expected to decide if a halted recount can get underway immediately or if election officials will have to wait until another court hearing wednesday. packer fans rejoice! after a tough november the packers brace the elements of december and come out on top! as usual, the difference was aaron rodgers. the rollout and the dart to a well covered randall cobb-- putting the packers on top 7 - 0. then it was jordy nelson with his 10th t-d of the season! the texans added 13 points of their own 21-13. tim van vooren has more from lambeau. "the best way to complete that work responsibly and expeditiously is to explore alternate routes for completed, the 3-point-8 billion dollar pipeline would run some 12- hundred miles through four states, carrying up to 570-thousand barrels of crude oil a day. the pipeline was mostly finished... with the company building it just needing permission to cross under a missouri river reservoir. bearcub says: "..this is the best news that i've heard forever - best news for native whole united states - all the people. water is so precious.'' not everyone is cheering the decision, however. house speaker paul ryan tweeting, quote...
