It happened near 16th and police say a woman was crossing the street when a vehicle struck her and then the driver took off. She was taken to the hospital and is in Critical Condition. The family of a man killed by a Wauwatosa Police officer will meet with the community today. Jay anderson was shot and killed by an officer in late june. Andersons parents have been asking that a charging decision be made in their sons case. They also want a 20 second video of the events leading up to the shooting to be made public. Suddenly a pit bull knocks her to the ground while the other girl is already being attacked by another pit bull. Officers killed one dog at the scene the other was put down later. We know the initial attack occurred inside one of the victims home. The girl attempted to get away from the dogs by fleeing outside pursued and attacked her and a friend until the officer intervened. The chief says the girls suffered severe bites but theyre not life threatening. One of the victims did live in the house with the dogs but the owner of the dogs is not related to either girl.
