An infant is the latest victim of gun violence in milwaukee. A twomonthold girl shot while riding in a car on interstate 43. Fox 6s Derica Williams joins us live near Port Washington and hampton where the scene unfolded. Thankfully, north shore fire and rescue says the infant is expected to live. She went to Childrens Hospital for treatment. This all happened around five yesterday evening. The infant was in a car was going northbound on 43 when the incident the driver got off here at hampton avenue and pulled into a parking lot. Meanwhile, Milwaukee County sheriffs deputies closed northbound 43 at keefe for an hour sunday evening to figure out where the shooting happened. Witnesses on scene were just hoping the little girl pulled through. Its unspeakable. Especially for a little kid, that age, to have to go through this, and for the parents to deal with this office hasnt said what led up to the shooting. Where the bullet came from. We are told around five oclock yesterday the infant was in a car was going northbound on 43 when shots were fired. After the shooting, the driver got off here at hampton avenue and pulled into a parking lot. Witnesses say help arrived fast. The cops were right behind them. It was like a blink of an eye, everybody was here before taking her to the hospital. They say her injuries are not life threatening. The Sheriffs Office hasnt said what led up to the shooting, or if there are any suspects. Suspects. Happening now police are investigating after two women were killed. And two others it happened shortly after one yesterday morning near 32nd and hampton. Officials say a man lost control of his suv and struck a utility pole killing two women in the vehicle. The driver and another woman were taken to the hospital. Theyre both in serious condition. An autopsy is set to happen later today. After a womans body was found this weekend. She says they noticed something odd a few blocks back. i seen like the door bounce. she says the van eventually got in front of her car. And they both came to a stop at the intersection. The door popped open. i noticed an arm was holding it open. within seconds. The witness says the suspect made it out of the van. Still in handcuffs. Bl so, where does he go . he just keeps running down Silver Spring. she says another driver pulled up along the police van and apparently told the officer what had happened. The witness says the vans emergency lights went on and the van turned around in the intersection to peruse the suspect. But by that time.
