another string of car break-ins... this time in shorewood. last week we told you 40 vehicles were damaged and rummaged through in the bay view area. now... police are investigating eight similar incidents over the weekend. fox6s madeline anderson explains. residents along shorewood boulevard are left scratching their heads after this weekend's crime spree in their neighborhood. i dont know what they were thinking. i have no idea. patrick rieck's suv was one of eight vehicles that shorewood police say vandals targeted between 8- passenger window was smashed out and his belongings rummaged through... to his surprise though... nothing was stolen. there was change in the center console that they didnt even take. earlier this month... milwaukee police responded to 40 car break-ins in bay view... where again... windows were smashed out and few--if any--items of value were reported missing. the people who are doing this are very brazen to right in front of our house. back in shorewood... jessica buss' husband's suv also needed its passenger side window repaired. this was someones idea of fun. she says it was clear criminals had opened up all of the vehicle's compartments but her husband's sunglasses for example were left alone. like many... buss wonders what's the motive behind the destruction. thats the question i have. i dont understand if this was just for pure joy of vandalism, or if theyre trying to gain from it. police say one person did report property stolen from their car. officers are still searching for a suspect or suspects in the ins. police have not said whether they believe the two are related. in the meantime... folks here say the are going to start parking their cars overnight in the garage if possible. reporting in shorewood madeline anderson fox6 news. milwaukee police are investigating two overnight shootings. they were first called to the scene near 43rd and silver spring around 12-15. two victims-- ages 38 and 46-- were taken to the hospital but will be okay, police are investigating what led up about an hour later near 24th and townsend. so far-- no other information has been released. glendale police arrest three strong armed robbery suspects just a day after it happened. on saturday-- glednale police spotted a vehicle that was taken the day before near 5th place and rogers. the three suspects are a 23-year-old man and 22-year-old woman from milwaukee-- along with a 22-year-old man from utah. the case will be presented to the district attorney's office racine police need your help finding a shoplifting suspect. officials say in late august-- the suspect stole goods from the walgreens near washington and ohio. if you have any information-- call racine police or crime stoppers. to say it wasn't a good day for the packers against the dallas cowboys, is a big understatement. but defensive end mike daniels believes the team will be better for it. tim van vooren has the lambeau field. "its always nice to be appreciated and i think this will brighten the day for the troops as well" in west milwaukee deandra corinthios fox6 news. pepsi will aggressively cut the amount of sugar and calories in dozens of its products... the company says at least two-thirds of its drinks will have 100 calories or less reduce saturated fat and sodium levels in many of its other products, like frito-lay chips. pepsi says the changes are due to consumer preferences -- as well as new dietary guidelines from the world health organization. target is pulling clown masks for stores and online due to the weird clown craze. they say they want to be sensitive of the creepy incidents that have led to violence and arrests in several states. the company's spokesman says in stores that will no longer be available for purchase. meanwhile -- one national costume retailer says its clown costume sales are up 239 percent this year. a pumpkin thief is on the run in new jersey. check out the video from woolwich township police. it shows a person stealing pumpkins right off someone's front door. it happened early saturday morning - the suspect is still swahili- speaking woman at an applebee's in minnesota. today 44 year-old jodie burchard-risch admitted that she threw her drink on the woman and then struck her with a beer mug all because the woman wasn't speaking english. burchard-risch will serve 180 days in jail and five years probation. about a-dozen good samaritans rescued a man who got stuck in a burning s-u-v in florida sunda human chain to reach the vehicle that crashed in an embankment in palm bay. police later arrived and joined the rescue efforts. they managed to pull the driver from the car and get him away from the fire. but police say he became combative for some reason and they had to restrain him. the driver was later taken to the hospital and his condition is still unclear. the rescuers suffered only minor scrapes and scratches. he's charged with strangulation and suffocating a relative.. spayed.. after the assault, he led police on a 10 mile chase...but it wasn't exactly a "hot pursuit." fox6's jonathon gregg has the newly released dash cam. "95-17 do we know if he has weapons in the vehicle." waukesha county deputies say "he's going to take off." "10-4. taking off." that's martin pfefferle behind the wheel of a black nissan pick-up truck, it's the night of august 28th. deputies were heading to a home to lock yourself in the bathroom?" "i don't know." "go ahead and try to do that. for a domestic violence call, but word came, pfefferle was going mobile. at 9:24 pm deputies identified their suspect driving west. "pewaukee units, leaving in a black nissan pick-up truck." pfefferle ignored the deputies emergency lights but wasn't exactly speeding away, "we're westbound on lindsay going 20." for ten miles, pfefferle led sheriff oaks drive, 25 miles per hour." the fastest pfefferle hit? 40 miles an hour. in fact, through out most of the pursuit pfefferle stayed under the speed limit. " dodged stop-sticks we're going west on lisbon there is no traffic and he is on the wrong side of the road now crossing onto the correct side of the road. westbound lisbon from pewaukee, 35 miles per hour." twice, officers tried using "stop sticks" but the suspect swerved around.
