Tonights big story an oconomowoc man returns home to find his sister dead now police are looking into who killed the 34yearold woman. Our Ben Handelman live outside the Oconomowoc Police station tonight. Ben. Good evening guys. Police holding many of the details close at this hour. We still dont know how this woman was killed. We do kno whoever is responsible. For the first time in 24 hours at the river Place Apartments on wisconsin avenue west of town, it appears like things are getting back to normal. However as we try to get closer we were told we must leave. While no longer on scene, Oconomowoc Police say a Homicide Investigation here is still very active. Last night we were notified by a Family Member that he had arrived home, to the apartment that he shares with his sister and that Oconomowoc Police chief david beguhn says a 34 year old female is dead. No one is in custody. And were trying to back track the last two days of her life, and figure out who was with her and where she was. This may be a sleepy town it is extremely rare and and is usually someone who knows somebody. But Violent Crimes are not unheard of. In may of 2015, Stanley Van Wagner home. 9 months later his wife Amy Van Wagner was arrested and charged. Her case still pending. For this crime police are hopeful an arrest wont take that long. Those fences went up in early august after an officerinvolved shooting led to unrest in the neighborhood. County executive chris abele ordered the fences taken down sunday morning. Milwaukee county sheriff david clarke had them put back up hours later. Sunday evening a judge issued a restraining order against clarke saying the fence must come down. The restraining order lasts until tomorrows afternoons hearin determine what comes next. A man accused of looting during the unrest in sherman park appearing in court today. Police say 17yearold Darius Saxton was at the Oreilly Auto Parts store, metro pcs and jet beauty. According to Court Documents saxton says he only took lingerie. He faces three counts of burglary. Prosecutors are planning to retry Dennis Brantner in the 1990 murder of fond du lac countys District Attorney making the announcement this morning. Earlier this year jurors failed to reach a verdict in the case. A new trial date has not been set because brantner was not in court today. The 62yearold was sentenced to 6 years in prison earlier this summer on drug charges. A bizarre appearance in court today for the man accused of luring children to a vacant building in green bay and setting it on fire. A truly bizarre story out of brown county. A suamico man is facing charges after police say he chopped off a womans finger with a machete. Police say 24yearold jonathan schrap, two friends and 27yearold shelby neuns were talking about cult rituals last month. Nuens told police she offered to drink her blood. She told police, schrap used a machete to make a deep cut in her arm and then drank the blood. Later schrap cut off her pinky and said he would cook and eat it later. They tried to cauterize the wound with a blow torch. Nuens said she didnt want anyone to be charged, because the ritual was voluntary. Schrap will be in court later this month. The medical examiners report says the 26yearold used heroin, and immediately began to act funny and was breathing funny. the unknown potency and the and even the identity of the drug they are using can be a real unknown to the user and giant risk factor forensic technical director Sara Schreiber says the medical Examiners Office was stressed over the holiday weekend. There has been quite an increase in heroin use and fentanyl related deaths that have come through this office in particular 13 probable drugrelated deaths were reported with victims ranging in between 26 and 55 years old. Jurisdictions across Milwaukee County are seeing an increase in overdoses. Although not all consequences are heavy.
