The owner of the car that police say hit and killed a fiveyearold girl on sunday has been charged. Lasheba crowder is accused of lying to police saying her suv that killed rickkyia langham, was stolen. Prosecutors say she reported it stolen after the crash but later admitted she lied. Her boyfriend is believed to be the person driving in the hitandrun. He has been arrested, but charges are still pending against him. The driver accused of hitting and killing a pedestrian near 60th and norwich on monday. Prosecutors say 27yearold ruben tovar was driving on a suspended license at the time of the crash. According to the criminal complaint he admitted he was on his phone a block or two away from the crash. Moments later he says he had a sneezing fit and thats when he hit 50yearold shelly jarvey.
