start to dry things out once again this flash flood warning continues tonight for central and southern waukesha county and southern milwaukee county. it's a waukesha to milwaukee. you can see the heaviest rain is over us now it's going to be over us for the next few hours and then will work out by 9:00 p.m. of another minutes. the rain really coming downn aut- driving through standing water is very dangerous-- and it's best to find another route. a similar scene in whitefish bay. this is the intersection of henry clay and santa monica. you can see the waters rising over the streets and onto the sidewalks. and this is near henry clay and bay. heavy rain has led to flooding in dodge county today.. it was enough to force schools to evacuate in mayville. that's where we find our rachelle baillon tonight... she joins us live... good evening. the rainfall prompted rising waters that rushed toward two area schools. both canceled class and sent students home while volunteers and first responders tried to protect the buildings. several inches of rainfall in a short time span led to rising waters and flooding in the city of mayville wednesday morning. as a result, students were evacuated from two area schools. 'we kept watching the water and as it kept coming it was getting further and further and faster and faster and then it broke the curb over here on horicon street.' the principal at st. johns says within half an hour the water started running down the side of the 9:30. classrooms also emptied at the nearby parkview school around 1 p-m, when students were transferred to a park pavilion for parents to come pick them up. 'i was actually monitoring it all day because when i picked her up from school we seen that the playground was flooded and then we heard on the news that the other roads were flooded in town so we were just keeping an eye on it and waiting for the email from the school.' throughout the day, first responders and volunteers rushed to both sandbags to keep the oncoming waters at bay. 'we cannot release the majority of the water which will end up flowing down to this school and were trying to make sure that everything is in place here before we start releasing water and we want to make sure that systems are in place in both schools to prevent more flooding when the rain starts to pick up later this afternoon.' the police chief tells us they expect to be out here keeping an eye on the situation throughout the evening. reporting live in mayville, brad thanks rachelle when the rain started to fall -- city officials put out a call for help. they were looking for anyone that would be willing help fill sand bags. justin williams is in mayville -- and he continues our coverage... heavy rains and localized flooding forced officials to evacuate not one but two schools in mayville today -- and led to a call for volunteers to help fill sandbags. plenty of people responded to the call for help. steph thanks justin it's not just our part of the state getting hammered by rain today. more than seven inches of rain fell in richland county-- which is in southwestern wisconsin. dozens of roads have been closed down -- including this one -- which was assessments are ongoing. track the weather anywhere. just download the fox six storm center app. it's free for apple and android devices. oconomowoc police are searching for a person of interest after a woman is found murdered in her home. police tell us -- 34-year-old christina schuster was found dead by her brother monday night -- suffering from a gunshot wound to the head.we're told: investigators are searching for a male missing. the fence around sherman park is down.. and it will stay down, for now. a milwaukee county judge extended a restraining order against ?sheriff david clarke pertaining to that. today -- the controversy ended up back in court. fox six's krystle kacner has the latest. sit down and let me speak!some tense moments in the courtroom.. between judge hansher and sheriff david clarke's attorney... michael whitcomb this matter is moot! the fence whether or not to extend a restraining order against the sheriff ... which prevents him from putting up a fence around sherman park...again... the original order was put in place after a back and forth between the sheriff and county executive days earlier... wednesday... judge hansher says its his opinion that's what this is all really about.... this is not so much a matter of a fence- this is a matter of a power struggle- let's call it what it is! ... and the sheriff that don't like each other....while whitcomb doesn't neccesarily agree over the case-- and has requested a judge substitution.... 3:07:23 we have a case involving a decision by judge h.. thats pending beofrre the supreme court and i tought it would be more comfortable for another judge to be assigned to the case that dos not is not presently involved in active litigation with the sheriff abele's attorney on the other hand.. is pleased with how proceedings are going thus far.. especially with the fact the restraining order against the sheriff .. remains in place.... i think that sends an appropriate message that the sheriff has tor of our citizens their accesss to public parks that was krystle kacner reporting. neither clarke nor abele was in court today- they didn't have to be ... they had representation.. although clarke not being there for the 2nd time was a point of discuss between the judge and his attorney for a majority of the hearing.... this isn't over yet- another hearing is scheduled for the end of the month. one man is dead -- and his brother is sitting in jail -- following a horrific crash. why investigators say -- he never should have been behind the wheel for many reasons. plus -- a homicide trial put on hold. the development in court -- that could have a big impact on the case. and the packers are set to take on the jacksonville jaguars sunday. what some of the players are saying about their opening day opponent. a milwaukee man is accused of driving drunk and killing his "maurice taylor" was speeding when he crashed into a lightpole near 32nd and wisconsin. it happened saturday. his brother "dawrel" was a passenger-- he was badly injured and later died at the hospital. according to investigators --- taylor never had a driver's license... and he was busted 14 times in the past for operating a vehicle without one. an update now on the trial of a man accused of killing two kids in a fire. as fast as it began --- the trial was put on hold! setting fire to a house last october with six kids inside. two did not survive. opening statements took place this morning, but a key witness for the prosecution didn't show up for testimony.. authorities went looking for him -- but had no luck. the judge decided everyone should reconvene on monday while the state continues to try to find its witness. morgan's lawyer with this reaction.
