death of laylah petersen. the 5-year-old was killed in 2014 while sitting on her grandfather's lap. one family member tells our ben handelman, the little girl is finally getting justice. all four charges he faced. barrett, with two others, shot into the wrong house. the family says emotions are mixed tonight. i look at her everyday and give her a kiss every day laylah petersen's aunt, kathy petersen, says every day, she looks at a picture of the 5 year old. and struggles to cope with what happened to her. we have to have the strength. life doesnt stop. grandfather's lap in 2014, when bullets came piercing through the wall. for nearly two years, they've waited for this day. it feels like a weight is lifted. but at the same time it is still very heavy in your heart. in court--- youre going to come to the conclusion that the state has proven that carl barrett was involved in this. a jury convicting carl barrett jr. of paul farr have already pleaded guilty to their charges. investigators say the three were looking to kill a man acquitted for killing gordon's brother. gordon and barrett fired their hand guns--- into the wrong house. violence will get you nowhere in this world. the conviction ends what at one time was milwaukee's highest profile murder mystery. justice for a family, left with one very big void in their lives. we remember her everyday. and by remembering her she investigators say barrett and arlis gordon fired their handguns into the house. the jury did not need to decide which men's bullet killed petersen. they simply had to decide if october. arlis gordon-- in december. a long time educator -- is busted on child porn charges. 68-year-old "thomas de-fazio" was a volunteer at kenosha's "all saints academy." he was fired by the principal -- after he "liked" some questionable pictures of young girls on facebook. on his laptop -- police allegedly found nearly a dozen inappropriate images. prosecutors say de-fazio think the images "crossed the line." he previously worked for several decades in racine county. the south side of milwaukee has a prostitution problem. today the city's common council took the first step toward fixing it. at a public hearing-- neighbors say most of the issues are occurring on portions of national, greenfield and lincoln avenues. some say the root of the problem is drug addiction. others blame human trafficking. but they all agree the issue is complex-- and they hope to find a solution "one of my daily duties in the morning that i make it on myself is to go around and make sure that i don't find no needles around the school, used condoms." committee members are vowing to keep this conversation going until the problem is solved. alderman donovan saying they'll discuss it every backs but their commitment certainly to downtown milwaukee i dont think anybody questions.' northwestern mutual is the 9th largest employer in the area with almost 6-thousand employees in downtown milwaukee and franklin. the company released a statement which reads in part: '...weve been evaluating how we work to better serve our clients. while we will continue to focus on hiring people with the skills we need positions will be impacted and these decisions have not been easy." milwaukee county executive chris abeles plan to save public transportation... may end up costing those behind the wheel of their own cars. a so-called wheel tax will be presented in abeles 2017 budget proposal. fox6s bret lemoine looks into how it works... and who it could impact the most. county executive chris abele is making good on his promise to budget proposal. ca 'a $60 per year vehicle registration fee. which averages out to $5 per month.' abele says the county cant rely on state funds to help cover transportation costs... and this option will generate 27-million dollars a year for milwaukee county. he says its enough to fund all the countys transportation infrastructure costs, annual bus replacements, county highway and bridge repairs. mm 'cmon.' but county supervisor michael eager to hop on this bus: mm 'i know that we need revenue, i want transportation to keep going, but that is really a lot.' all motor vehicle owners pay a 75- dollar state vehicle registration. city of milwaukee residents currently pay a 20- dollar wheel tax of their own. and if you factor in this proposed
