The woman had managed to call police from an office in the home, before the man burst into the room. Says police found the man, 58yearold helmut wihowski, holding a knife to the womans upper chest while cornering her in a shower stall. Dash cam audio captured what told authorities she would have died if the officer had not shot wihowski. Authorities attempted lifesaving measures on wihowski, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
