a look at your forecast. jeremy nelson, will we see ring today? -- rain today? jeremy: a huge drop in humidity overnight. mostly clear to partly cloudy skies. 62 degrees, but let's focus on the dew point, a measure of moisture in the comfortable range in the 50's. temperatures across all of so still have the ac or fan on, give that a break. nice and refreshing, upper 50's, a couple of 60's hang out from port washington through downtown milwaukee. this is a forecast a lot of people have been waiting for. the day where you can get outside, humidity stays on the low side. into the afternoon, could be a spotty sprinkle, but don't answer -- don't cancel your plans. forecast, coming up. thema: thank you, jeremy. new this morning, guitarist and founding member of the band "three doors down," matthew roberts, is found dead at a hotel here in wisconsin. the west bend police department posted to their facebook page last night. they said officers were called to the hampton inn on 18th street for a person passed out in the hallway. this was just after 7:00 yesterday morning. paramedics tried to revive roberts, but weren't able to. an autopsy is being done today. according to the police department, he was in west bend to perform at a benefit concert for the honor flight. roberts' father told cnn his son had struggled with anxiety and an addiction to prescription medication. matthew roberts was 38-years-old. it was one week ago that neighbors in and around sherman park in milwaukee were dealing with the aftermath of unrest and violence in the streets. eight businesses were burned. others were looted and two people were hurt. now the community is focusing on healing from the tensions that erupted after the deadly police shooting of 23-year-old sylville an overnight curfew remains in place for anyone 17 and under in milwaukee. plus, sherman park was off limits to families for a sixth straight night. it will re-open at 6:00 this morning. and right now, a 19-year-old is in the milwaukee county jail, charged with arson. dale foley is accused of setting a parked van on fire in the parking lot of pick and save at 18th and national. witnesses say there was a group of about 20 people setting the van on fire last saturday. foley was arrested a few blocks from the store. according to police, he told investigators quote "we wanted to do the same thing here that we did on sherman boulevard." police are still looking for other members of that group. when they're arrested, they will also face felony charges. other arrests have been made in connection to looting during saturday night's unrest. this surveillance video shows people ransacking a liquor store near 49th and burleigh and you cases of liquor. three men were charged on friday in connection with the looting. police say durrell jones, joseph lindsey and devon love -- were in the store when police arrived. more charges are expected from last weekend's fires and violence. investigators are still trying to find the people responsible for setting those businesses on fire in sherman park. federal officials tell us the cost of destruction could exceed several million dos. the atf is offering a $10,000 reward to anyone with information about the fires that leads to an arrest and conviction. and the doj has a tipline where you can give your information without giving your name. you can also find in-depth coverage of the "unrest in milwaukee" on wisn.com and the free wisn 12 news app. download the free app to get any updates sent directly to your wisn 12 news time is 5:04. the first american to ever win a gold medal in the triathlon at the olympic games is from right here in wisconsin. waukesha native gwen jorgensen crossed the finish line in rio yesterday with a time of one hour, 56 minutes and 16 seconds. jorgensen was an all-american track athlete and swimmer at the uw madison. she has been training in minnesota re gwen jorgensen: for me just crossing that finish line was joy and relief, but put a lot of sweat tears, a lot of hard work into this. thema: jorgensen's parents and husband are with her in rio, but she also has plenty of supporters back here in wisconsin. [cheering] i love it. jorgensen's aunt and dozens of other supporters cheered her on during a watch party at leff's luckytown in wauwatosa. jorgensen was a member of tri-wisconsin. members of the club were also there to cheer her on. jorgensen's aunt says her niece won't be back home until around october. and when she comes back, they're planning a big party to celebrate. congratulations to her. jorgensen's gold medal is one of 43 now earned by team usa. it's been a great olympics for the americans in rio. medals. 43 gold, 36 silver, and 37 bronze. this morning, major ramps in the zoo interchange are back open -- ahead of schedule. this is a live look from our department of transportation cameras. the ramp from i-94 east to i-41/8-94 south closed friday night to allow crews to install giant beams over the roads. until this morning, but crews wrapped up early last night and i-94 east was opened back up to traffic. from our partners at "biztimes milwaukee," a big step for milwaukee's downtown streetcar project. developers have picked a construction manager. the contractor out of omaha, nebraska, worked on similar urban rail projects in the chicago area. the $124 million project got the go ahead from the common council in 2015. is set to be completed in 2018. the extension to 4th and wisconsin should be finished by 2020. turning now to sports, the brewers have one more game today in seattle. the brew crew are hoping not to get swept in their three game series against the mariners. we take you to last night's fourth inning, mariners lead one to nothing. ryan braun gets a good look at the ball, swings and hits to mariner's ketel marte makes the catch for the out. now to the top of the eighth, mariners lead 4-0. ryan braun hits a double into deep right field that scores a runner to get the brew crew on the board. a little later, hernan perez singles to right center field to score ryan braun. brewers are down two runs late in the game. but the mariners pull away, scoring six runs in the bottom of the eighth. they go on to win 8-2. first pitch tois later today, students are invited to a back-school field day in milwaukee. thema: alderwoman new this morning, a simple eye exam could help determine if you will develop parkinson's disease later in life. according to a new study, dyg indicate a person may be in the early stage of parkinson's. by tracking a patient's eye health, doctors may be able to diagnose the disease earlier. this study used rats, not human patients, but the study's co-author told the bbc that this research could lead to a breakthrough in detecting and treating the disease. also new this morning, the pressure to provide for their man's health. a new study shows as men took on more financial responsibility in their marriages -- their mental and physical health declined. their health was even worse when they were the only source of income in their homes. the same study found that women's mental well-being improved when making greater financial contributions. their physical health didn't change. nearly 300,000 people in the united states are living with spinal cord injuries. now new research might give them new reason to believe things can improve. holly firfer has more in today's health minute. holly: they badly long for what so many take for granted -- to be able to move. and now there may be hope for paraplegics -- thanks to new research involving exoskeletons, virtual reality, and lots of hard work. researchers say they were dormant nerves come back to life. >> it's almost like we turned them on again and because of that, we got the spinal cord activated by cortex again. holly: the first clinical study from the walk again project looked at eight patients who had been completely paralyzed from spinal cord injuries for at least three years. patients in brazil spent at least two hours a week for a year training on brain-machine interface devices. the subjects wear caps lined with electrodes that record brain activity. that activity triggers movement or behaviors in virtual reality systems and robotic exoskeletons. then that interface sends signals, such as the sensation of movement, back to the brain. four patients improved so much in their sensation and muscle control -- that their diagnosis was changed from complete to partial paralysis. more study is aloft, we keep the ground up today and it could bubble up a spotty showers. probably not until midday or afternoon. until then, a few clouds passing through. temperatures nice and comfortable in the and historic third ward, 62 degrees, but the real number is the dew point in the mid-50's with a little gust of wind out there northwest right now at 20 miles per hour. that is bring in a nice, until 6:00 in the morning -- 6:00 in the morning. there's also a mandatory curfew in effect for kids 17-years-old and under across the city. as the cleanup continues in sherman park, the accountability begins. a teenager accused of trying to escalate the violence faces criminal charges this morning. as colleen henry reports, he told police he wanted to extend the violence to milwaukee's south side. colleen: as sh last weekend, police were called here to the pick n save at 18th and national. a van was burning in the parking lot. a caller reported a group of about 20 young men here in the pick n save parking lot, they ran after torching jesus avila saldana's van. jesus avila saldana: it was difficult to see that. that's one of the pictures. colleen: avila's van was filled with donations he drives to poor children in his home town in mexico -- school supplies, jesus avila saldana: yes. colleen: now what? jesus avila saldana: i'm struggling a little bit. colleen: police arrested one of the teens a few blocks from the pick n save, and say 19-year-old dale folley explained "we wanted to do the same thing here that we did on sherman boulevard." no one at folley's home cared to comment. >> i'm not going to get involved and i'm not going to answer any questions. you all can get away from my door now. jesus avila saldana: the negatives we must turn into positives. that's the thing i've always felt and lived by so it will turn into a positive. colleen: without his van, avila doesn't know how he'll get the school supplies to the kids, but he's not giving up hope, even on the kids who did this. jesus avila saldana: i think this is somehow a lesson that even those kids can learn from -- that they're only hurting themselves and they're hurting innocent people. i will take the shirt off my back to help them. colleen: the 19-year-old suspect is in the county jail on arson and bail jumping charges, when caught, his accomplices will also face store near 49th and burleigh last saturday night. a total of eight businesses in and around the sherman park neighborhood were damaged or destroyed in last weekend's unrest -- including a b.p. gas station. business owners are continuing to clean up. some hope to rebuild. fire also damaged an auto parts store, a beauty supply store, and a several other buildings. federal officials say the cost at the hampton inn. he was later pronounced dead. the 38-year-old was supposed to perform at the 'rockin for heroes' benefit last night. that event did go on as scheduled. roberts' father says his son struggled with anxiety and addiction to prescription painkillers -- addiction to prescription painkillers. there were no signs of trauma, unknown at this time. an autopsy is scheduled for today. right a suicide bomb attack carried out by isis or kurdish militants. it's a haunting picture that got worldwide attention. a little boy, dirty and bloody, after being pulled from a collapsed building in syria. now, abc news has learned his older brother did not survive. both boys were rescued following an airstrike in syria. syria's five-year civil war has killed thousands. democratic presidential stephanopoulos." on friday, trump's chairman resigned over his connection to a pro-russian political party in ukraine. this morning, louisiana flood victims continue to pick up the pieces ahead of president obama's visit to the state this week. the flooding has left at least thousands more are in shelters. search parties are looking for anyone trapped. waters are receding, but the conditions are too dangerous for most homeowners to return. 60,000 homes are damaged. the president has declared a state of emergency. he will visit baton rouge on tuesday. right now in california, firefighters are making progress with a massive wildfire burning east of an now 68% under control. it's already burned 58 square miles and destroyed 96 houses. officials have evacuated thousands of people. wisn 12 medalists -- wisconsin's own gwen jorgensen. the waukesha-native clinched the gold yesterday in the women's triathlon. she got her start at uw madison. now she's bringing home the first gold ever for step, ernie andrus is running into history. at 93-years-old, he's the oldest person in america to run across the country. it all started with a relay race and a love for running. ernie andrus: if an 88-year-old man gets this much attention in a relay race, how about a 90-year-old running coast to coast? so i decided right there, i'm gonna do it. macey: that was all it took to start his journey, three years ago. running three days a week, starting at the pacific ocean, ending here -- in st. simons, now joined by more than 200 of his newest friends. mark wrathall: to see a 93-year-old man run across the country -- if he can do that, you can do anything. macey: this wwii veteran isn't just running to make history, he wants to honor it. he's raising money and awareness to bring the landing ship tank, lst 325 vessel across the atlantic. it's the only one left that's restored and fully operational. ernie andrus: give some people credit that t sailed on them. you know almost ever
