are ready for the snow. >> if we get the higher limits of the snow predicted, we will have a snow emergency that is declared by the commissioner of public works. in a snow emergency there are posted snow routes. look for the signs. whenever you park. streets and bus routes. we need to keep them clear. andy: winter parking rules are also in effect in the city of milwaukee. the dpw says they will let us know if the 4 inch rule starts. pay attention to the signs on the street. if you're parked on a marked street, you could get a ticket or be towed. one community is already declaring a snow emergency. download our mobile app. you can find information about churches or businesses that could be forced to close due to the snow. new this morning, milwaukee police are investigating a deadly car accident late last night. this happened at the intersection of 12th and hadley. police say a chevy suburban crashed into a dodge stratus. a 66-year-old man inside that car died at the scene. the other driver stayed on the scene and is cooperating with police. in died after falling through the nice on lake cuomo. crews searched for hours before eventually finding the body of the victim. the police are not releasing the name of the victim at this time. right now milwaukee police need help finding a missing woman. they're describing her as critical. 30-year-old sabrina allen was last seen december 6. investigators say she suffers from health issues, but didn't elaborate. if you've seen her, please call police. recount is nearly done. 64 of the state's 72 counties concluding the recount process. milwaukee and waukesha counties are among the counties where the recount has wrapped up. workers spent nine days on the job. the results will be sent to the wisconsin elections commission, which will then be posted online. the deadline to finish the recount is monday night. the state will officially certify its reelection -- it's election results on tuesday. prid intelligence officials to review claims russia hacked the 2016 election. the review is expected to be done before trump's inauguration on january 20. prior to the election, the u.s. government publicly blamed the russian government for cyber attacks aiming to influence election outcomes. trump repeatedly denied a russian tie to election-related hacking. looking ahead, donald trump will be at the wisconsin-state fair expo center in west allis tuesday night. vice president elect mike pence will also be there. this evening, he's expected to attend the annual army-navy game. this week, he's been holding a series of meetings to appoint cabinet members. trump still has not picked secretary of state. yesterday, former new york mayor rudy giuliani withdrew himself from the list of candidates. a government shutdown is averted with less than an hour to spare. overnight, president obama signed the stop-gap spending bill that keeps the government running through the end of april. the senate passed the bill late last night, 63-36. the new bill provides disaster summer flooding and over $10 billion in emergency war-funding for the pentagon. the bill also expedites the process confirming trump's nominee for defense secretary, retired general james mattis. republicans will be in control of congress in january. so where does that leave the democrats? soledad o'brien digs in on "matter of fact" this week. >> the democrats suffered a crushing defeat on election day. so, where does the party go from here? democratic brand in rural and small-town america, the middle of the country, is a generational kaepernick re-tweeted the photo. only on 12 news, christina palladino spoke with parents who are standing behind their daughters. ? christina: the bay view varsity girl's basketball team drew a standing ovation during each raised a fist in the air. the demonstration comes after parents say the team was threatened with disciplinary action for kneeling during the anthem earlier in the week. >> she felt like she had a right to take a knee. christina: the picture of the team kneeling received a lot of attention, especially after colin kaepernick re-tweeted the photo on twitter. but then the players started to receive backlash. brown says her daughter came home from school upset after administrators warned them not to kneel again. >> i stand 10 toes down with my daughter. christina: but not all family members support the team's actions. luiz gonzalez doesn't want to see her granddaughter get in trouble. >> before you do anything like this, you should find out what the consequences are. christina: many in the crowd, including the local black panther party, came out to support the team tonight. >> we're putting everyone on notice that if there are any sanctions towards these singing for the top prize. wauk-a-pella is a college choir competition at the meijer in waukesha. it starts at 12:30 ,but they need the community to help vote on the winner. the winning school takes new this morning, the holidays came a little early for one school in pennsylvania. a secret santa paid off all of the students lunch balances. the principal says a person showed up at the school with a check covering lunches of all 300 students. >> he wanted to be able to give back to the district. it is an amazing feeling to know someone would want to help as many students as they have. andy: the person who paid off the school lunch balances does not want to be identified for the good deed. the milwaukee county zoo is spreading some christmas tree -- some christmaspi kids are able to have breakfast or lunch with santa this weekend. breakfast is this morning at 9:00. lunch is at noon today and tomorrow. tickets are $20 per child. that includes zoo admission and a meal. this holiday season, wisn 12 news is visiting holiday lights displays all across southeast wisconsin. this morning's display is at 74th and burleigh in milwaukee. our camera spotted about a half-dozen santas along with a nativity scene, several snowmen, and winnie the pooh. if you see a holiday lights display you think we should the address. all of the displays will be adding to the snow. jeremy: it will be more festive as we add snow to the mix. it has been plenty cold and now we have snow on the way. a lot of people want a white christmas, and this may put us in that direction. it is pretty common. at demonstration with diapers to make their point. protest on facebook saying in part, "the media and the progressive moms seem more interested in generating fake news, because it involved sheriff clarke, but they aren't interested in the epidemic of black-on-black crime in milwaukee." right now, an audit is underway looking into the medical care at both the county jail and the house of correction. wisconsin's presidential vote recount is nearly done. right now, 64 of the state's 72 counties have finished recounting their ballots, including milwaukee and waukesha counties. fi the many as 200 more capture the group's strong-hold in raqqa. they will include special operations forces. there are already 300 u.s. troops authorized for the effort to organize and train local syrian forces. meanwhile, u.s. secretary of state john kerry is in paris today, working to find solutions for syria's desperate opposition in aleppo. kerry will meet with european and arab diplomats and members of syria's opposition to discuss the safety of civilians in aleppo and how to keep the city from being destroyed. bolivia's defense minister is now calling last month's deadly plane crash in colombia murder, because the pilot violated basic protocols of civil aviation. the plane was allowed to take off on a four-hour flight with barely enough fuel. international flight regulations require aircraft to carry enough reserve fuel so they can fly for 30 minutes after reaching their destination the flight was carrying a brazilian soccer team when it crashed last month. 71 people died, only >> she used to come in every day when she had her chemo treatments, and she was the sweetest little thing. >> my mom was a big part of it. she told me i would get through it. kathy: you are a
