morning. here is the focus on the north counties, more in the heavy rain and light anyoning. the showers and storms approaching columbia county and northwest parts of dane county. if this holds together it is going to scrape across the southern counties. the the south as a cool front. as we may get in a couple of dry hours this morning before the rain redevelops in the afternoon. jeremy nelson is along the river. >> this is the milwaukee river and we are talking more about that in a moment. we are going to recap the past 12-18 hours. stronger storms parts of kimberly and hortonville area. a barn was damaged, also some large tree limbs were down and puddles and as much as one to three inches of rain in the fox valley. i would say 2-3 inches plus in if northern counties. so a now. but we are along the milwaukee river. this area is prone to flooding. we have a flood watch in effect for the remainder of today. no issues right now. this is flood stage right now. we are certainly keeping tabs on this. we'll helicopter to watch things >> now to the morning commute, matt? >> the choper is parked because of the weather. you are seeing the head lights shining off the wet waivement out there. a little wet pavement to greet you this morning. if you are leeing the house soon, you will notice we are in the green across the system. reduced lains at 43. not causing now problems right now. i suspect we'll delay off the bypass and 94 westbound in that area. that's a look at the morning commute, back to you. >> thank you, matt. 5:33. later today, the battle over sherman park is continuing. a final decision on whether a fence should surround the park county executive chris abele and sheriff david clarke argued over the fence. abele wants it to stay down and clarke wants it to go back up. a judge agreed with abele and issued a temporary restraining order bringing the fence down. today, a court hearing will decide if that decision is permanent and when the park will open and close. >> later today, a debate over whether the game pokemon go should stay in a milwaukee park. the game has gotten people across the country more active. players have to explore outside in order to catch characters. milwaukee's lake park has become a hot spot for pokemon players, but people who live around the park are not happy with the extra traffic both cars and on foot. mike? >> good morning, ben. the pokemon go craze is creating a bit of controversy here and most of it coming from people that live in the neighborhood. huge crowds of players are crowding the park, taking up parking spaces and leaving garbage behind. this video is from over the weekend and showing hundreds the union is bringing in extra trash cans and police are tick eetting the illegally parked cars in the neighborhood. they are trying to get the developer of the game to get a permit. players say that most people are being respectful but neighbors are concerned and there will be a meeting here in the park at 6:30 with officials to talk this issue. reporting live this morning mike anderson "12 news this morning". >> thank you, mike. 5:35. >> happening now, local students are trying to figure out what to do next when a college closes its doors unexpectedly. tim, what happened to itt tech? >> thousands of students have questions now. what is going to happen next. the campus in greenfield along has closed down. itt technical institute is a for-profit college with more than 130 campuses in 38 states. thousands of students are looking for answers about their future now that it's closed. the company that runs the school is based in indiana and they've been under investigation. the u.s. department of education issued sanctions against the company including banning them from enrolling new students who use federal financial aid. once that decision came down, the company closed down. that affects around 35,000 students and 8,000 employees. ben, back to you. >> now that school's back in session, people up north are waving goodbye to summer. locals in minocqua took that literally they waved goodbye as summer tourists headed out of town on labor day. a steady stream of cars, rv's, trucks and more passed through on their way out of town. residents set out lawn chairs to wave goodbye. on memorial day, locals will be >> still ahead, after an out-of-this-world experience. a wisconsin man is back on solid ground. his record-setting trip to space that ended overnight. >> and it's been a rough few days on lake michigan. two more swimmers had to be rescued from the water. the training one good samaritan had that may have saved lives. but first, weather watch 12. let's take a live look at doppler 12 radar. you can see rain is through, especially some of our northern counties this morning. heads up if you are in sheboygan and fond du lac counties, the rain is moving through. we are on weatherwatch 12 this morning. russ feingold: so, what do when you grow up?
