tim: right now, crews are working to demolish the businesses that were burned during the unrest. here's the scene on saturday when fires broke out at eight businesses near sherman and most damage, it burned to the ground. yesterday we saw atf agents sifting through the rubble for evidence. crews are working to clear the damage from the gas station lot and an o'reilly auto parts that was badly damaged. the demolition will also help investigators collect key evidence about how those fires started. ben: people from across milwaukee, coming together, after the unrest over the weekend. last night, hundreds of people gathered for a prayer vigil. the milwaukee archdiocese organized the service to pray for peace in the city. in the lindsey heights neighborhood, a march for peace. about 50 people participated. organizers planned this walk before the violence began in sherman park. and a group of chaplains, trained for crisis situations are offering counseling to the family of sylville smith killed in a police shooting and to hundreds of other people in milwaukee. they traveled from north melinda: two attorneys who were part of the making a murderer trial are speaking on the criminal justice system, later today. dean strang and jerry buting are taking part in a panel discussion on challenges facing the justice system. it's part of forwardfest, happening today in madison. strang and buting were defense attorneys for steven avery. the murder trial was documented in netflix's smash hit series making a murderer. ben: later today, helping your kids stay healthy when they head back to school. milwaukee is holding itsst back-to-school health fair of the year. the fair runs from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at north division high school. there will be vaccinations, lead testing, vision and dental screenings, along with haircuts for students. kids can also get free backpacks and school supplies. melinda: later today, the city of brookfield is working to keep mosquitoes away. mosquitoes from breeding. a helicopter will drop pellets over the land this morning. the city is asking people to avoid wirth park while that's going on, but it's safe to visit the park once the treatment has been dropped. ben: new from overnight, did you see storms in the distance last night? why police in brazil say the olympian and several of his teammates were not victims of a robbery, but instead, they're suspects. i'm hall of famer jerry west and my life is basketball. but that doesn't stop my afib from leaving me at a higher risk of stroke. until i learned more about once-daily xarelto... a latest generation blood thinner. then i made the switch. xarelto? >> first of all, we can always use volunteers. i just met a brand-new volunteer from your state. she's very excited to be part of this deployment. we really could use some financial support as well. ben: you can call to donate the laura -- you can also text la-floods to 90999 to make a $10 dollar donation. there's more information on the red cross website. melinda: also new this morning, dozens of red cross workers from here in wisconsin are in louisiana helping flooding victims. red cross equipment, like disaster relief vans, are making their job easier. local people have donated shampoo, soap, toothbrushes, and more necessities along with giving their time. deploying to go places. right now we have almost 40 volunteers in louisiana, we're just starting to mobilize for california. melinda: workers in california will help people affected by wildfires there. again, if you want to help people in either place, you can donate to the red cross online, and over the phone. a town in illinois is getting creative with their lawn-care. their lawns they let these sheep roam. they eat grass and weeds in the town of waterloo. it's better for the budget, and the environment. the mayor says they've been using the sheep for about 20 years. ben: this is a bunch of guys who did not want to cut the grass and said she would work. melinda: i love that. they are cute. jeremy: they are having a lot have not had any rain to get the grass growing our area. we hope to get some rain over the next 36 hours. not much in milwaukee so far. most of the pavement is dry at this hour. over the next three to four hours, the best chance to see isolated thunder storm or shower. the dew point will be 65 degrees to 70 degrees. here is your checklist or it still plenty of fires and festivals going on. a drastic change in your forecast, just wait until you see the seven-day. doppler 12 radar right now, michigan. sprinkles and light showers in the a torrential downpour. those thunderstorms may pull together in dodge or fond du lac county. 77 degrees in milwaukee. 60 it's in the northwoods. not until saturday into sunday with temperatures storing into the 90's today. keep a plan be ready to go. a good bet to have outdoor event scheduled, but have the umbrella ready to go. thunderstorms. 73, cooler and less humid. ben: we are in traffic watch 12. looking great so far as we are heading out the door. melinda: thank you. a mystery unfolding in rio de janeiro, involving olympic jim, this has been talked about a lot. what are we learning about this alleged crime? tim: this is a big scandal. four swimmers, including ryan lochte, claimed they had been robbed at gunpoint. now police say the athletes were drunk and vandalized a gas station. then made up the robbery as a cover story. believed they were being robbed because security guards held them at gunpoint and wouldn't let them leave until they paid for the damage. this morning, two of the swimmers are on their way home, after being detained in brazil. lochte is already in the u.s.. ben: time now to check in on the medal count, and see how the u.s. stacks up. this morning, america has earned 100 medals. 35 of those are gold, 33 silver, and 32 bronze. china comes in second with a total of 58 medals including 20 gold. and great britain is third in line with 22 gold medals, and a total of 56. melinda: the olympics wrap up this weekend in rio and watching the world's top athletes has pushed people around the world to get active. but the people in rio didn't need the olympics to get inspired. deirdre fitzpatrick is at olympic park where the locals are as inspiring as the olympians. >> get ready to feel like a working out and the world's top athletes are impressed. if there's one thing you can say about the olympic host city brazilians don't suffer from a lack of confidence do they?
