They say the sheriff was on a flight to charlotte saturday when a drunk passenger harassed the flight crew and passengers. According to the Sheriffs Office, the man got out of his seat on approach to landing. Then, after the plane landed and taxied to the gate, the man began taunting the sheriff. Clarke got out of his seat, told him to sit down, and when he refused, the sheriff shoved the man facedown, pinning him ai the sheriff says he held him there until police boarded the flight and the sheriff cuffed the man. That passenger has been identified as 36yearold Preston Bluntson of milwaukee. Online records show he spent the night in jail and was released last night. Sheriff clarke said he was disappointed there was no air marshal on board who could have intervened.
