At this point Officials Say theyre hoping there will be enough time for the water to runoff before the next batch of heavy rain moves in. The Missouri Department of transportation says up to 8 additional inches of rain have spilled onto i44 there in both directions. There have still not been any evacuations. The water is expected to crest saturday at about 32 and a half feet. But officials dont expect the water to recede quickly after that.
