asheville firefighters performed several water rescues some of those along mark roads- one person trapped in their mobile home was brought out by boat- and two people were rescued from their van after it was swept away by rushing water. 3 just to the southwest of buncombe county-transylvania county saw flooding, power outages, and evacuations.green road was washed out overnight- people in the area say this isn't anything new when it we see these heavy downpours- 3 3 3 "well this is, historically a real low lying area on the french broad river." river.""it comes out maybe six, seven times a year if we have any severe rain, it comes out to some degree." degree.""you know, it's just an ebb and flow of life on green rd." 3 check this out--livestock also a concern this morning- this is caroland farms in landrum- this pasture stis along the none of the cows or their calvese were swept away- 3 the damage from last nights rain spanned as far south as anderson county...where you can see a downed tree.this is club drive near blair street. the road was blocked for a little while- however, things are back to normal this afternoon- 3 in greenwood county-a high water condition has been issued at lake greenwood at the buzzard roost dam- water was released from the lake into the saluda river.this will affect areas in greenwood and nebwerry counties- the bridge on roof bottom road has been closed as a precaution- it won't reopen until engineers access the structure- officials are stressing that buzzard roost dam is *not in danger of a breach...but that these measures are being taken only as as precaution. 3 as i just mentioned-some people only had a matter of minutes to get out of their home as the water conitnued to rise in asheville- 3 fox carolina's ashley daley is in buncombe countalong fernwood drive where residents of the mobile home park there ashley- 3 cody the water has now receded...but if you look at the home behind me...the man who lives there says the water was as high as his mailbox. 3 3 3 with the sun now shining on buncombe county clean up efforts are underway. this creek along charlotte highway...just east of biltmore forest...under emergency repair after debris carried by flood water nearly clogged the pipes.residents of the fernwood mobile home park just down the road say it was that clog that caused the water to rise around 1 this morning. morning. 3 3 we've had a lot more rain than this in shorter periods of time and it hadn't backed up like this before. butted to toat one point maybe 4 to 5 feet of water in the mobile home park. kenneth ledford with the reynolds fire department says more than 6 families were were forced to evacuate and one had to be rescued. rescued. 3 it was just a river out here and i didn't see no way out the fire department is right on top of the hill right there so i just called 911.lamb says the water was so high it moved and potentially totaled both of his vehicles...and also damaged his home. 3 3 today lamb and his family are working to stabilize the home in hopes he wont have to leave. road. 3 that area was also evacuated overnight...people living at main street in rosman were evacuated by emergency services-- ...but they were allowed to back in their homes at 7-30 a-m.all the
