guess whampt he had's staying. got more questions. willie geist out in our audience and it's a good thing because we've got a bunch more questions. >> this is geena, 24 years old. geena. >> hi, mr. trump. today is hillary's birthday whampt are you getting her for her birthday this year? >> well, i'll say happy birthday, lots of luck, but we have to -- we're going to be in a very tough battle because we have such divergent views. she really is going on a record that's very bad. you know, every poll is saying that i'm beating her now nationwide, as you see, and i think we're going to have a great victory for the republicans and we're going to bring this country back and it's going to be bigger and better and more beautiful than ever before and that's what i'm looking to do. >> thank you, geena. >> go ahead, willie. >> mr. troump, this is paul morrisette, auctioneer and lifelong republican and big >> thank you, paul. >> how you doing, mr. trump. my beth and i own regal auction in new hampshire and one of the auctions we do is gun auctions, doing one on november 21st so i have my finger on the pulse of gun owners in new hampshire and elsewhere in the country. what all us gun owners are wondering if there's any more regulations on a bill that reaches president trump's desk will you pledge now to veto that so we can stop the assault on second ament rights. wet don't want to be australia. >> the answer is yes because we have tremendous regulations already. a lot of people don't even realize. we have tremendous regulations and people aren't abiding by them. government does a terrible job of enforcing them, but we already have tremendous regulations. now, if you look at my opponents, they are very weak on the second amendment. i'm very, very strong, as you know, or you probably wouldn't like me but i am very strong on the second amendment. carson is weak on the second amendment and bush is very weak on the second amendment and virtually many of them are, and some of them aren't, but i'm very strong for the second amendment. no, i would not do anything but you have to enforce what you have right now and there are plenty right now. >> in the wake of some of the you said it's inevitable that some people who are mentally ill are just going to slip through the cracks. it sounds like you're saying stuff happens to coin the phrase that someone else used. >> that's a terrible expression from bush but the fact is we have a huge mental health problem, and if you look at some states, including new york and others, they have left -- in order to save money for finance reasons, they have let people out of mental institutions. we have a big problem with that. this is a mental health problem, and believe me, they will always find a way to get something, whether it's a gun or otherwise. these people that run stable, we have is to straighten out our mental health and we do have in this country big mental health problems, and that's a problem we have. >> not at all a gun problem. >> we already have so much regulation, matt. there's tremendous regulation right now that people don't reason realize. we have -- this is a mental health problem. these people are all, to put it mildly, they are crazy, and we have to straighten out our institutions. so many of these institutions, and you see it up here, too. they are closing and they are putting the people out on the street. that's the biggest problem we have. >> willie? >> mr. troump, this is scott, 47-year-old, two kids, i.t. and independent leaning strongly your way. >> take. >> you good morning, gentlemen. mr. trump, you know a lot of people. who is the most interesting person you've ever met? >> my father, but -- but that would be normal, and my mother, these are two incredible people. i would say ronald reagan was somebody i liked a lot. i knew him, i was a young guy. i was helping him a little bit and i didn't know him that well, but i just found him to be a very inspiring person. i liked ronald reagan. >> all right. >> thank you very much for your question. >> come on up. >> real quick. >> one more. >> absolutely. >> 21-year-old college student independent. what's your question here? >> good morning. i'm a sean yore at st. a's and my question is for you if you could fire someone from government today who would it be and why? >> the president of the united states. that was the easiest question. that was the easiest question i >> thank you for your question. >> he had me end, mr. trump, on another quote from your book "art of the deal," okay? >> yeah. >> you wrote this. i'll do nearly anything within legal bounds to win, so does that apply to the presidential campaign as well? would you be willing to make promises that you know you can't keep to win the election? >> no, i wouldn't do that. i wouldn't do that, i don't think i have to do that. everything i say i can do. everything i say i will abide by and i think people will be very surprised at the end of a four-year term we'll have a country that will be so amazing. we'll have so many victories. it won't be sergeant bergdahl where we get bergdahl and they get five years, won't be an iran deal which is a disgrace as a contract and a deal, a disgrace. we give them $150 billion. we don't even get our prisoners back. we will have great, great victories in this country, and i will abide by everything that i'm saying on the campaign trail. >> again, my thanks to the i appreciate your questions, and our thanks to donald trump for giving us the time this morning for this town hall meeting. >> thank you. >> i want to go back to new york now where al, natalie and tamron are holding down the fort. guys, back to you. >> thanks so much, matt. i think we're all still digesting all that was said in the last hour there, making a lot of headlines, mr. trump. >> yeah. >> but also making headlines this morning and speaking of trump, vice president joe biden gave a revealing interview to "60 minutes" last night. he talked about the fact that he chose not to run because he simply ran out of time. he also did take on trump. he talked about trump's stance on immigrants saying that it's an attack on immigration as a whole and an attack on immigrants, but it was a wide ranging interview and he really spoke about that issue about just simply not having enough time after grieving for his son beau and, you know, how he a great president but, you know, he still hopes to be able to shape the course of the narrative and the election coming -- going forward, but decision. >> is it that you think that you couldn't win or that you didn't want to run? >> i couldn't win. i'll be very blunt. if i thought we could have put together the campaign that our supporters deserved and our contributors deserved i would have gone out and done it. >> interesting. >> yeah. >> great interview. >> fantastic interview. >> a range of emotions there as well, and his wife, dr. jill biden, by his side as well saying that she would have liked him to have had that opportunity and chance to have been president, but biden also, as we mention the, spoke about his son beau who died of brain cancer in may, and he said there wasn't that hollywood moment that was reported, you know, about him grabbing his son's hand and his son saying you must run. he said it didn't happen that way. he did say his son all along i would like you some day to really, you know, live that dream, but he also brought up which is probably the most touching part of the interview. >> it was. >> so poignant, a conversation that he with his 11-year-old daughter, beau's daughter right after the death of her father. >> i'll never forget my little granddaughter, we're down by the me for dinner everybody and everybody goings up and she's lying between my legs with her head on my chest and turns around and puts her arms around me and starts popping and she says pop, i see daddy all the time. i see daddy all the time. pop, you smell like daddy. you're not going to leave me, are you pop? >> that was incredible. >> so hard. >> all those things weighed into his decision. >> but he also said in the recover rift family that same granddaughter later scored in her soccer match and he was there and she ran over to him and, of course, referenced her dad saying, you know, he would it tapped into the current politics which we discussed on friday. will joe biden be a quote, unquote king-maker? will the democratic candidates be really force to include him as part of the dialogue but on a non-political level, a family grieving, certainly people all at home can relate to a great loss in your life and who do you move forward. >> right. >> and it was incredible when he talked about his grandchildren. it was a great interview. >> when you're running for office like this, have you to throw your entire body into it, your entire being. >> yeah. >> and he recognized that, you know, with that -- with the grieving process it took too much time. >> phenomenal interview. >> yeah. >> well, we're going to switch gears just a little bit and talk about our -- our pink or swim challenge. you still have a chance to win a trip to new york to dunk us or the challenge this thursday. four people can win a trip to new york and hotel accommodation for one night. send us a photograph of yourself and tell news 50 words or less why you deserve to live. follow the pink or swim challenge contest. >> so it's thursday. >> right? >> thursday the dunking. >> we're getting dunked. >> has time run out. >> mentally preparing myself. it's monday. i have four days to get there and be ready. >> get ready. >> have you decide what had outfit you're wearing? are you doing a gown again this year? >> i try not to do the same thing twice. i think -- what do you think? what should we do? >> something waterproof. >> i'm thinking -- >> that's no fun. >> can we at least protect the hair. >> i mean, yes, i have the msnbc show right after this. >> yeah. >> which takes a village to get this hair back in order but we can't do shower caps, can't do any of that. got to go in. >> are we going fully under? >> if we get dunked and it's at the beginning of the show which means the -- are you zoned snout. >> i'm thinking why wouldn't we do that at end. >> i asked that same question. >> so have you time to get ready. >> our team have arranged we're going the entire rest of our show soaking wet. >> it's going to be cold and wet. >> real makes no sense. i think we need to have a discussion about that because that makes no sense. anyway, you know, they are producers. we're looking at wet weather pushing its way. we still have a tornado watch for parts of louisiana, alabama, mississippi as well until 9:00 a.m. central daylight time. gulfport and biloxi included in, that and we're looking for anywhere from 3 to 5 more inches of rain from louisiana and on into the panhandle of texas and on into panama city, and then that moisture makes its way up into the ohio and mississippi river valleys. we could see about 3 to 5 inches of rain from indianapolis to asheville. rain falling at half an inch per hours and by wednesday the remnants of patricia are felt here in the northeast and new england with about 1 to 2 inches generally. >> reporter: good morning. >> good morning. for the day, mostly sunny skies. high pressure is with us today. and again, tomorrow. temperatures for today, cool all day long. especially this morning, moving out of the 30s and 40s. this afternoon, upper 40s and low 50s. a bit of a breeze in boston right now, fades away this morning. dry tomorrow, and especially wednesday night, upwards of an inch of rain possible. fast moving system. we can get the rain out of here. and partly sunny and breezy and warm on thursday. >> and that's your latest weather. >> all right, thank you, al. coming up next, she plays a high profile restaurant critic in the new bradley what's going on? guess whampt he had's staying. got more questions. willie geist out in our audience and it's a good thing because we've got a bunch more questions. >> this is geena, 24 years old. geena. >> hi, mr. trump. today is hillary's birthday whampt are you getting her for her birthday this year? >> well, i'll say happy birthday, lots of luck, but we have to -- we're going to be in a very tough battle because we have such divergent views. she really is going on a record that's very bad. you know, every poll is saying that i'm beating her now nationwide, as you see, and i think we're going to have a great victory for the republicans and we're going to bring this country back and it's going to be bigger and better and more beautiful than ever before and that's what i'm looking to do. >> thank you, geena. >> go ahead, willie. >> mr. troump, this is paul morrisette, auctioneer and lifelong republican and big >> thank you, paul. >> how you doing, mr. trump. my beth and i own regal auction in new hampshire and one of the auctions we do is gun auctions, doing one on november 21st so i have my finger on the pulse of gun owners in new hampshire and elsewhere in the country. what all us gun owners are wondering if there's any more regulations on a bill that reaches president trump's desk will you pledge now to veto that so we can stop the assault on second ament rights. wet don't want to be australia. >> the answer is yes because we have tremendous regulations already. a lot of people don't even realize. we have tremendous regulations and people aren't abiding by them. government does a terrible job of enforcing them, but we already have tremendous regulations. now, if you look at my opponents, they are very weak on the second amendment. i'm very, very strong, as you know, or you probably wouldn't like me but i am very strong on the second amendment. carson is weak on the second amendment and bush is very weak on the second amendment and virtually many of them are, and some of them aren't, but i'm very strong for the second amendment. no, i would not do anything but you have to enforce what you have right now and there are plenty right now. >> in the wake of some of the you said it's inevitable that some people who are mentally ill are just going to slip through the cracks. it sounds like you're saying stuff happens to coin the phrase that someone else used. >> that's a terrible expression from bush but the fact is we have a huge mental health problem, and if you look at some states, including new york and others, they have left -- in order to save money for finance reasons, they have let people out of mental institutions. we have a big problem with that. this is a mental health problem, and believe me, they will always find a way to get something, whether it's a gun or otherwise. these people that run stable, we have is to straighten out our mental health and we do have in this country big mental health problems, and that's a problem we have. >> not at all a gun problem. >> we already have so much regulation, matt. there's tremendous regulation right now that people don't reason realize. we have -- this is a mental health problem. these people are all, to put it mildly, they are crazy, and we have to straighten out our institutions. so many of these institutions, and you see it up here, too. they are closing and they are putting the people out on the street. that's the biggest problem we have. >> willie? >> mr. troump, this is scott, 47-year-old, two kids, i.t. and independent leaning strongly your way. >> take. >> you good morning, gentlemen. mr. trump, you know a lot of people. who is the most interesting person you've ever met? >> my father, but -- but that would be normal, and my mother, these are two incredible people. i would say ronald reagan was somebody i liked a lot. i knew him, i was a young guy. i was helping him a little bit and i didn't know him that well, but i just found him to be a very inspiring person. i liked ronald reagan. >> all right. >> thank you very much for your question. >> come on up. >> real quick. >> one more.
