[ cheers and applause ] you made it. this is it. you're part of the show. what a show tonight. but first, here's what people are talking about, you guys. of course, everyone is talking about the election. and get this, "politico" is now reporting that hillary clinton's campaign is using a run-out-the-clock strategy against donald trump hoping to just outlast him until november. "sounds like a good plan," said ted cruz, marco rubio, jeb bush, and john kasich. [ laughter and applause ] real good plan. i saw that hillary held a a fundraiser recently at justin timberlake and jessica biel's house -- i know jessica biel. who's justin timberlake? [ light laughter ] jessica even posted a a photobooth series they all took together. take a look at this. isn't that cute? [ light laughter ] hillary's faces in those pictures are actually the stages to reacting to donald trump running for president. can we see that again? [ laughter and applause ] at first -- at first, it's funny and it makes you smile. then you't he's saying. then you're terrified he might win. [ light laughter ] and, finally, look at the latest polls, and you breathe a a sigh of relief. [ cheers and applause ] it's going to be okay. it's going to be all right. of course, donald trump isn't letting up. in fact, he took a few shots at hillary's campaign yesterday, specifically some of the celebrities who are supporting her. listen to this right here. >> her supports have really -- and her supporters have very little enthusiasm. the only people enthusiastic in many cases, celebrities that aren't very hot anymore. [ audience ohs ] >> jimmy: "yes, unlike the smoking hot celebrities supporting me right now, like scott baio and the one guy from 'duck dynasty,' that's it." [ laughter and applause ] hot, hot celebrities. trump will be the first president to make decisions by playing hot or not with world leaders. like, "angela merkel, not hot. vladimir putin, very hot." [ laughter and applause ] and did you see this? the "boston globe" just reported that according to his campaign staff, donald trump wouldn't take any vacations as president. i think that's because he's offended so many other countries he can't leave this one. where are you gonna go? >> steve: where you gonna go? turned 100 years old today. [ cheers and applause ] wow. isn't that amazing? for 100 years, families from all over the u.s. have been traveling to the grand canyon saying, "huh, okay, well, back in the r.v. let's go. [ laughter and applause ] that's it. it's a canyon. it's a hole. let's go." well, this is pretty funny. kim kardashian recently attended a friend's birthday party in mexico and apparently brought a pi?ata that was modeled after her butt. [ laughter ] afterwards all the kids in the village were picking up candy and so were the kids in the next village. it was a big -- it was a great, fun party. oh, a bit of a scandal here, you guys. i read that "bachelorette" winner jordan rogers's tinder account is still active. [ audience oohs ] and that he recently matched with a girl despite being engaged in jojo. [ audience oohs ] jojo said, "i can't believe 25 other guys while we were going out. [ applause ] you can't believe i did that?" i just don't know. another reality star, kim richards of "the real housewives of beverly hills" just avoided jail time for shoplifting at a target store last year. instead, she'll be moved to a a work release program for felons, "the real housewives of new jersey." [ cheers and applause ] i'll flip this table! check this out. "hollywood medium" star tyler henry says that his psychic abilities help him on dates, because he can always tell if there's gonna be a a second date or not. which, raises the question, if you are psychic, why would you even bother showing up for a a bad first date. [ applause ] "i have a feeling this is going to stink. uh, i'm sick." i thought this was pretty amazing. astronaut jeffrey williams just milestone of 521 days. it's less of an accomplishment after nasa admitted they sort of forgot he was up there. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: i saw a picture of you somewhere just like snuggling, holding him in new york city somewhere. >> the thing i do now, i told huffing is, right? it's not a pleasant thing. people who huff chemicals. >> jimmy: oh, like huffing paint? >> they huff like huff, there you go. you knew that very quickly. [ laughter ] oh. >> jimmy: oh, man. >> man. >> jimmy: you have a million things going on. i want to talk about as many as i can get a hold of here. the podcast "here's the thing" is what it's called. >> right, i have a podcast. >> jimmy: it is fantastic. and that's where i have my list of podcasts. >> you did my podcast. >> jimmy: i had the best time ever. but i love it. everybody. i listened to your interview with paul simon and billy joel. >> my podcast is on wnyc. go to the wnyc, which is new york public radio website. and my podcast "here's the thing." i have a -- i do it every other week. we do 26 shows a year, and i get people in a booth for like an hour, and the whole idea is when you get 'em to, like, not be doing shorter segments, they do longer segments, they have a a lot to say. >>my >> and we get them in there and it's been a lot of fun. >> jimmy: is there anyone that you're trying to get that you haven't been able to -- >> well, my one goal would be obama. i want to get obama. >> jimmy: president obama would be big. >> have you had him on this show? >> jimmy: what's that? >> have you had him on this show? >> jimmy: of course. yeah, of course. he's been on the show numerous times. [ laughter ] >> you had obama on the show already? >> jimmy: barry? >> he's been on? >> jimmy: barry, yeah, he's been on. [ laughter ] >> he'll do my podcast. i'll try. >> jimmy: what would you ask him? what would you ask him? >> how would -- the program is really about how people feel about what they do. so what does it feel like for you to be the president? what was like on an emotional level? was it a tough thing? i'm sure when you're the president, it's a tremendous drain on your time, if you will, you know, did he miss seeing kids and things like that. it's a sacrifice. it's service to your country. >> jimmy: yeah. >> democrat or republican. they're people are doing service. >> jimmy: i was asking -- >> but apparently he has a lot of time on his hands if he's doing your show more than once. [ light laughter ] i have no idea. it's exactly like the album i did with you're superstar guest go, marty erlichman, from barbara's office called, and said, barbara streisand wants you to sing on her album. and i was, like, you ass. [ laughter ] >> jimmy: get a life, man. i have two kids man, one on the way. >> oh, please oh, please. click. and i hung up. and the same was with "the match game," they were like, they want you to host "the match game" for abc. they want you to be part of a a sunday night block of game shows. and i decided to do it because it was a good source of income for my foundation. if so we gave a lot of money from "the match game," to charity, but with the same thing, like -- [ applause ] no, no, thank you. and it was a great opportunity for that, and, ps, beyond the charitable components, i love doing it. the people are fun. you know, they get the celebrity guest stars -- >> jimmy: you're getting great reviews. it's so much fun to watch. >> the celebrities come in, and they roll them in like at, 10:00 o'clock, and they get their wardrobe on, but like 2:00 o'clock they're smashed. they're bombed. >> jimmy: i know that i've seen you sing tony bennett, and you are fantastic, you do almost a a better tony bennett than tony bennett does. i've seen you on "saturday night live," and it's the greatest. but i didn't know that you could actually sing things. "sounds like a good plan," said ted cruz, marco rubio, jeb bush, and john kasich. [ laughter and applause ] real good plan. i saw that hillary held a a fundraiser recently at justin timberlake and jessica biel's house -- i know jessica biel. who's justin timberlake? [ light laughter ] jessica even posted a a photobooth series they all took together. take a look at this. isn't that cute? [ light laughter ] hillary's faces in those pictures are actually the stages to reacting to donald trump running for president. can we see that again? [ laughter and applause ] at first -- at first, it's funny and it makes you smile. then you't he's saying. then you're terrified he might win. [ light laughter ] and, finally, look at the latest polls, and you breathe a a sigh of relief. [ laughter and applause ] and did you see this? the "boston globe" just reported that according to his campaign staff, donald trump wouldn't take any vacations as president. i think that's because he's offended so many other countries he can't leave this one. where are you gonna go? >> steve: where you gonna go? turned 100 years old today.
