Quiet for most of us. The winds have died down as well. It will be more pleasant day. Temperatures in the mid to low 40s. Feeling a little bit more mild compared to yesterday. We keep that sunshine throughout your day. As we head into your thanksgiving forecast. Cloud cover thickens up. Temperatures will be cooler and we could wake up to wintery mix by tomorrow morning. Heres the system thats headed our way. If you are travelling today a lot of quiet conditions. Upper midwest seeing snow as well as rain showers across the ohio valley. Thats marching our way. We could hav in boston. Its a really big travel day. Lets check with Danielle Gersh for the late. It is indeed. So far its quiet out there. Heres a look at the expressway this morning. Northbound usually not looking like that. But southbound its a little bit slow headed out of town. We have an accident. Lets go to the maps on the expressway southbound. We watch a crash and thats mass avenue. Traffic backed up to oneill tunnel because of that. Pike wide open. Route 2 and 3 not seeing any issuing. 93 fine back to 495. Eastbound on starrow drive trying to get under the tunnel and didnt quite work out. No delays into town on the pike or on 93 southbound from 128 to zakim bridge. Back to you guys. Lets get right to breaking news and several hours rushed to a driver hit and dragged an officer and then took off from the scene. But in the end four officers total had to be rushed to the hospital. It all unfolded outside of a popular bar. Jennifer eagan live with more. Lets start with the officers. How are they doing. They are all expected to be okay. Two of the officers were talking to the people inside of the car in question. When they asked them to get out confrontation that sent four officers to the hospital. It happened around 12 30 this morning by the corner of columbia and stotin street. Two plain clothed officer. When they handle them and ask them to get out of the car. He accelerated at high raid another speed. Dragging a couple of officers down the street. Now striking two officers in the wagon parked. The nearby as backup. Several ambulances responded to the scene. The four officers were taken to the hospital. All are expected to be okay. We should be thankful for that considering whats going on across the united states. The suspects car was captured as the driver sped away with police in pursuit. It was pursued up columbia road and lost in the area. The officers now in the process police going over the video from surveillance camera overlooking this intersection. The description of the car they have right now is silver or gray chevy possibly with connecticut license plates. Live in dorchester, jennifer eagan, 7 news today in new england. Now to breaking news from overnight. Police are investigating after a person was shot in rocksbury. Someone shot the victim at the wallgreens. The victim was rushed to Boston Medical Center and expected to be ay opened fire into a house in brockton. Investigator say the suspect shot a bullet through the front door of this home last night. But luckily no one was hurt. New details this morning on the sexual abuse allegations that happened onboard a school bus in boston. The driver of the bus off the job now. According to the globe the driver is on paid leaf after parent of child from Boston Renaissance Charter School claimed 6yearold boy molested her 7yearold son on that bus. Many wiping away tears still in disbelief. After the 44yearold was killed. Prosecutors say a group of people beat orengo after she was weekend. Someone then ran her over with a car and drove off. New concerns this morning over rising rate of crime in the city of boston. According to the herald Boston Police have seen a 20 spike in murder in 201. And as of last night theres been 40 homicides in the city. That is compared to 33 at the same time last year. They report 54 increase since theres 40 shooting in october and november this year. Compared to 26 during the same period last fall. And former House Speaker is back home this morning with his family in melrose after being released early from prison down in north carolina. He arrived at logan last night. He received a compassionate release from prison because hes ballot ling cancer. The 71yearold said hes grateful to have a chance to be back with his family, again.
