Two Police Officers fighting for their lives a suspect shot and killed. The Police Commissioner officers walking into an ambush. We heard officers screaming on the radio. 203 would signify shots fire and an officer down. The officer were screaming. Officer down. They were responding to glad stone street in east boston. Two men were roommates were in some sort of a fight. Police found one man armed with an Assault Rifle and a ballistic vest. That man just started shooting. Wounds and theyve undergone some blood transfusions and they are classified as extremely critical. Theres more ambulances. Neighbors told to stay inside. Other officers ran into a fire fight to pull their brother officers out. One officer had his hand in one of the wounds. And i think that was instrumental in getting the officer down to mass general. We will do a thorough and the mayor rushing to mass General Hospital where they joined about 50 Police Officers and the families of the injured officers in prayer. This job is a tough job. And oftentimes people dont look at the other side of what happens with Police Officers and you know were hoping that they make a full recovery. Boston Police Officers continue holding their vigil at these Police Officers bedside. The update this morning they are Critical Condition. Police remain outside of the home right now. We dont know a lot about this suspect. We can tell you a car was towed from here not long ago. Went door to door. I walk up the steps and then the swarm of cops. There were dozens and dozens of cop. Assault rifles. I saw a riot shield. It. Wasnt long after that when neighbors found out two officers were shot and a suspects killed. A nightmare playing out in real life right in front of them. Started holding my friends hand. I was so scared. I was shaking really bad. Ive never like heard Something Like that will happen. To see all those police run up the street like that with guns. It was just insane. Again taking a live look here this is 136 gladstone street where the shooting happened. About 20 minutes ago a car was towed from the scene here along the side that said elitepolicing. Org. And online profile from the man matching that name also says he was Bounty Hunter for a private firm. You heard the name of the firm mentioned by nicole. The suspect been identified bft police as kirk figueroa. 33 years old. Hes a boston. Figueroa sworn in, in july before he was sworn in the clerk told me figueroa would have gone through extensive criminal background check. His file would be on record at police headquarter. Constable serves a threeyear term. We know figueroa applied in may and again he was sworn in just a few months later in july of this year. Constable serves warrant and legal documents to thesy. Constables need to be approved 7news. The show of heroism in the middle of chaos posts Police Commissioner said multiple officersrationing to the rescue when those two officers were hurt during this altercation. This morning the nine officers who were treated at Tufts Medical Center have been released. We want to get out live to Jennifer Eagan who has more. All nine officers taken here to Tufts Medical Center were here for a few hours and treated for related to the shooting. Two officers made a split second decision and in doing so they risked their own lives. As police in the suspect exchanged gunfire William Evans said two officers stepped into danger to save their comrades. Two of the officers dragged their fellow officers out of the line of fire. So they were in a protected zone. And the officers continued to ambulances rushed to gladstone street in east boston. Police on seen did what they could to help the two officer whose were shot. The officers with a wounded officers were able to quickly administer first aid. Apply a tourniquet. One officer had his hand in one of the wounds.
