And that inchaueds the police chief himself. A police chief Leonard Campanella was not given notice. Hes known nationally for his work in the fight against opioid addiction as gloucester started the police assisted Reduction Initiative and Angel Program where attics see treatment and they dont face criminal charges. They found the suspect who accused of killing a Police Officer in North Carolina after lengthy manhunt. Irving is accused of killing a shelby North CarolinaPolice Officer who had reportedly been searching for him after he missed a court day. Right now hes being treat at a hospital for bullet lodged in his back after he was shot in a gunfight right now a state trooper injured in a crash in worcester. His crew cruiser colliding with an suv. You can see the cruiser getting towed away. The trooper was treated at the hospital and released and the other driver wasnt hurt. Two people are in custody this morning after two Police Officers were hurt in the crash in rocksbury. It happened near the corner of herald and humbeck street last night. The officers injuries are not life threatening. No word yet on what caused convicted killer headed back to court. Jury selection set to begin for Gary Lee Sansom as hes sentenced for a second time. This is 13 years after he was original i will sentenced to death. Heres Nicole Oliverio with more from boston. A jury sentence sansom to death more than a decade ago for brutal murder during a crime spree that lasted five day and croixes statelin will be selected to see if sansom should face the same sentence. The judge threw out the sentence due to juror misconduct. He was also convicted of killing a New Hampshire man days later before finally calling police and turning himself in. Sansoms lawyers argued against failing health. Prosecutors pushed forward. And the victims family hope this jury will give the same death sentence the original jury did 13 years ago. State troopers say a 61yearold women was killed in the crash. When her car collide head on with a pickup tuesday afternoon. Another truck then the pickup. A passenger inside the womens car suffered serious life threatening injuries. A worcester man preparing to face a judge after being accused in a violent road rage attack. Police say the suspect pulled a machetti on another driver yesterday. It happened in worcester. Police say the suspect had a 13yearold girl, a daughter, and 17yearold son in the car along with him. And this morning hes facing several charges. They issued a arrest warrant for murder of ex girlfriend rhonda rosa. Delerosa killed rosa at townhouse early monday morning. Officers say the couples 4yearold child witnessed the murder. Delerosa just served a fouryear sentence in prison for trying to kill rosa in 2013. Police are investigating another incident with laser at Logan Airport this time with United Airlines plane. Pilotn lazer lit up the cockpit after flying over lowell. It was on its way to los angeles.
