Yesterday the states top transportation official was trying to reassure passengers that this winter will not be a repeat of last winter, but for believe. The mbta left explaining itself to passengers. These flyers were handed out at North Station, detailing what commuter line. We apologize to our passengers for any inconvenience that happened this morning. Jennifer keolis, the company that runs the Commuter Rail, says somewhere in andover the last two cars got knocked off the rails yesterday morning. There was a woman leaving the wrentham outlets. She saw that young child, less than a year old new york that car in a snowsuit but all alone. Theres a baby in a car not attended to crying. Nicole a woman leaving the wrentham outlets spots an eightmonthold alone in a car, the engine off, a parent nowhere to be found. The temperature outside only in that shopper then called 911. How old is the baby . Old, eight months. I dont know. Its tiny. Nicole the woman tells the dispatcher the car is parked in handicapped space outside of the nike store. When officers arrive, they find the babys mother at the car. They looked at mall cameras and believe she was gone for ten minutes. She said she didnt understand she was breaking the law. We said it wasnt so much about the law as judgment. Nicole police dont believe the woman was trying to hurt her child. She just made a bad decision. The child seemed okay at the scene. She seemed a little overheated because she was in a snowsuit. I think mom probably left the baby, just made a terribly bad judgment. I think any parent should know not to leave an eightmonthold unatolded regardless. It charges her with being an accessory after the fact in her daughters death. For months bella bond was known the toddlers identity a mystery when her body washed up on deer island in june. Rachelles boyfriend is accused of firstdegree murder and then the pair is accused of dumping the childs body in the water. At District Court arraignment, both entered not guilty pleas.
