Tell us what theyre doing to reporter overnight, crews spent the night scrubbing and sanitizing inside Sullivan Middle School after 60 students became violently ill. Dizziness. A suspicious sickness causing confusion at Sullivan Middle School. Students evacuated at phone calls go out to parents. They have to move all the kids out and everybody has to pick them up. The symptoms were thought to be Carbon Monoxide poisoning but when the Fire Department checked the building with co meters the tests were negative. We ruled out a Carbon Monoxide problem. Were looking at a possible virus but we have not pinpointed the problem. With no ac or heat on in the building, its not likely it system. Theyre focusing on one part of the building. The first initial students who were ill were from a particular class so that was a assessment of that whole wing. A doctor from lowell general the students. Five went to the hospital.
