Now the family of the victim calling ritzer hopes to get some justice here. The courthouse in warren. This murder really shook the entire community and today the murder trial against 1yearold philip chism begins. It starts with jury selection. They will likely focus on finding juror who may be sympathetic to philips mental state. He was just 14 years old a Danvers High School freshman when he was accused of killing his math teacher. He was in the ninth grade and many legal expert say his defense will likely focus on what his mental state was. Hes charged as an adult with firstdegree murder aggravated rape and armed robbery. The victim was well liked by student. Her body was found murdered and raped in woods near the high school. Chism killed her in the bathroom stabbing her 16 time then putting her body in a bin to it could take several day to find the jury of 12 juror and four alternate. The trial could take anywhere from 4 to 6 weeks. N necessarily. New this morning prosecutors say bella bonds mother could face additional charge. She told police her boyfriend stomach. Until she stopped breathing. Medical examiner has yet to rule on an exact cause of her death. The little girl body found inside a trash back in june. 40yearold pleading not guilty to being accessory after the fact. In the case against her daughter death. Her boyfriend charges with murder and they both remain in jail today. Funeral services are held today in oxford for a child who died after being found unresponsive in home. 2yearolds not breathing when her bother went to wake her hundred. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital. City officials in worcester say they found many safety violations and unfitlying condition inside the apartment where the twoyearold was discovered.
