Since i have been here, rescue crews pulled at least one injured child from the home. A young child. One guy in the very beginning, he was like, picking away debris. Where the front porch used to be. She says she is looking forward to making the best of it. In beisel was the youngest athlete on the u. S. Olympic swim team. I was just so, you know, like, a deer in a headlights. On a team with michael phelps. And ryan lochte and stuff. I was so young. Nancy eight years later, it is her third Olympic Games as captain. For me, my role on the team is not necessarily winning the medals or being the face of the sport. Nancy this rhode island native first made a splash at the age of five. Growing up in rhode island, the ocean state, i absolutely loved the water. I wouldnt sleep unless i got a workout. In my parents got that energy out of me by just, like, tossing me in a pool. Thank god for my parents. They drove me there and back every single day. Without a question. You know, just for me to, you know, live my olympic dream. Successes to them. Nancy her parents in her home state supporting her all the way. Rhode island has been the biggest support system i have had. You know, since my olympic journey. For rhode island, i love it that much. Nancy the 23yearold will compete if the individual medley. An event where she took silver in london. But this time, it is a race she is approaching a little differently. You know, in the back of my mind, i do know that this is so i do want to make the most of it. I want to make sure that im leaving my olympic experience the way that i want to leave it. Nancy a possible end to a chapter many years in the making. Its really been an amazing journey. I have seen some amazing suffer the happen. Michael phelps winning gold medals. I have seen so many World Records broken. I have made, like, the best friends of my life. I really would not change a thing about the journally that i have been on for team u. S. A.
