thieves. >> unfortunately they had guns. >> reporter: the scary situation unraveling before midnight near the victim's home. the story clerk says he had no idea there would be any trouble. detectives was critically wounded in the shooting. police now looking for three men they say are between the ages of 18-21 who you saw flee in the blue hyundai. >> ryan: apple update. apple is replacing its emergency sending his car straight into a lake. their rescue efforts likely saving the man's life. the man inside the car was conscious but incoherent with the car sinking. he would have drunked but two strangers came running. >> i jumped off my machine wallet, phone and jumped in. >> i couldn't imagine stopping there watching everything happen. you got to be proactive and try to do whatever you can. >> reporter: the car windows were rolled up tight as second slipped away. >> somebody from the shore threw us a rock and we had to break the windows. >> reporter: winter a minute police respond and three officers dove into the lake, they had to use an ax to break the driver's side window. >> you are trying to pull him out. he is not definitely a little excitement factor going on there. >> crossing the yucatan peninsula but crossing over the land mass will weaken it back to a tropical depression. end of the week, and into the weekend but you see that redline that track, there is the gulf of motor vehicles way back but that would be about it. elsewhere across the tropics there are churches of showers and storms. but nothing organized. nothing like earl is doing right now. we have a little swirl in the clouds right now. exiting southern new england. nontropical but it has clouds and adds beneficial rain for us this morning, even sprinkles left on the cape as well as nantucket but the weak area of low pressure slides south of new england overnight and high pressure will take its place for the rest of the week. tomorrow lots of s summer day. temperatures upper 07's to around 80s, thursday, a little warmer. even into friday the temperatures will start to climb to the upper 80s's with high pressure down here. that will grab some heat and some humidity and pull it back into
