randolph this morning. the car flipped over and landed on top of the guardrail. police say good samaritans stopped and tried to pull the driver up but could not. rescue crews arrived and worked for more than an hour to free him. he was taken to an area hospital and has now recovered. a tank exploded flying up through the roof of a pool shed. it landed in the woods nearby and luckily no one was hurt. two people are now recovering after being hit by a truck in woburn. police say the 71-year-old man and 67-year-old woman were crossing the street near cit hall when they were hit. they suffered serious life-threatening injuries. detectives say the driver did stay at the scene. there is no word yet if that person will face any charges. police are investigating a deadly accident at a workplace in rockland. officers say a man from wareham died after getting trapped between the bumper of a tractor trailer and a loading dock. the 37-year-old man worked at highway safety system its. police say the driver of the tractor-trailer has not been charged. breathing. he's foaming everywhere, blood everywhere. a tewksbury woman stepping g in desperately trying to save this teen's life. the boy died after being attacked at a halloween party in lowell. 7's kimberly bookman talked with the woman who was there and says this didn't have to happen. >> my whole body went numb. i needed i had to do something with this kid. he's 15. i had to go and help. >> reporter: recent tewksbury high school graduate sarah ward says she tried do the right thing when she arrived at this lowell home for a halloween party and ethan costello badly hurt. >> i don't think i even saw him breathing. his eyes were open, he was staring at me but his pupils were so dialated that they would not focus at all. he looked like a monster. >> reporter: police say costello accidentally stumbled on to 18-year-old joe zachrella at the party which they believe it caused zach to pick the sophomore and slam him headfirst into the concrete floor. officers say most of the 75 teenagers at party were drinking and intoxicated. >> they took him and brought him inside the house and tried to get him into the shower. he's still not responding at all. >> reporter: when ward got there, she says she knew there was no more time to waste. >> he's foaming everywhere, blood everywhere, and i'm telling -- no one will move out of the way. i'm screaming at kids, you need to move. this kid is going to die. i heard people say yes take him and others is a no we're gonna get in trouble. >> reporter: ward and three others put costello into a car and drove him to lowell general hospital. days his injuries and the young woman who tried save him is still trying to come to grips with it all. >> if none of us didn't -- he would have been there dead until the next morning. >> that was kimberly bookman reporting. a store clerk is speaking out after being held at gunpoint. take a look at the video from market street in hyannis on saturday. you can see the clerk being threatened with a gun. at first the clerk thought it was a joke but realized the the halloween kind of thing. i thought he's just trying to scare me but he said give me all the money, whatever you guys have in there. >> police say the man with the gun is a 19-year-old homeless man. three people have been arrested in connection with that robbery. another clerk held at knife point at a gas station in rehoboth. two masked men robbed the store on winthrop street monday night. another clerk is talking about the frightening moments. >> i heard the door open and this and a black hoody and switch in his hands looks at me and says don't move. he told me he'd gut me if i looked up within the next 60 seconds. the clerk was not hurt and the robbers are still on the run. people across the state are lining up to get on board with e-zpass as the toll booths continue to be taken down. around 40 people waiting to open an e-zpass account. as the demolition of the toll booth plaza across the street says all 23 toll locations are in some stage of demolition. as of tuesday, the d.o.t. says 85 of the state's 155 toll booths are fully demolished. >> a mother held hostage and it was her son who may have saved her life. he took the hostage note to class and that's when police were able to rescue her. 7's christa delcamp reports. >> reporter: at a middle school in louisiana it was a note an 11-year-old passed to a teacher that sent this man donald ray guy jail. guy who'see for quite some time has been wanted by authorities, accused of skipping court dates and wanted on domestic violence charges. >> it was concerning at first understanding that we potentially had a hostage situation. >> reporter: officials say the middlele 62 student at school tuesday morning shared a note for mom, saying she was in trouble. the note was apparently dated for last friday, quickly getting the sheriff's attention. >> there's always a chill that goes through you when you understand that maybe the child was going through a very bad what we actually thought records after talking to the 11-year-old and with some quick detective work they narrowed it down. they knew the suspect was known for running. the sheriff called in a tracking seem and extra officers armed with a search warranty to the home. >> we found guy hiding in the closet. >> reporter: now he's facing new charges including false imprisonment. deputies also found a stolen atv. the suspect will be facing a judge in two different cities including in baton rouge where official there is ar him. in the newsroom, i'm christa delcamp, be 7news. a florida teacher facing criminal charges for allegedly exchanging more than 100,000 inappropriate messages with a 14-year-old female student. 44-year-old allison london was a p.e. teacher at the girls school. she faces solicitation to commit sexual battery, failure to report child abuse and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. from a shop in new mexico but police didn't have to look hard to find him since he left his business card behind and posted about the stolen necklace on facebook. >> this guy's a goof ball. i can't believe it. well, i guess i can believe it. if a guy walks inside your business know that he's not there to purchase stuff, he's there to rip you off. >> reporter: police say the thief also has three warrants out for his arrest. a woman caught on camera, investigators say a woman crash heard car but when police arrived she ran from them and she spent close to 45 minutes in the frigid water before a tug boat helped pull her out. the woman was treated for hypothermia but is okay and expected to face criminal charges for running from the police. an officer's body camera shows a woman struggling with an officer while old holding a baby. police say it happened in a crash in new mexico. >> reporter: police say this woman was holding her baby when the crash happened. she was still holding the baby for medical. >> he's fine. >> you don't have a choice. >> reporter: the officer is able to take the baby but that's when the confrontation got worse. >> do not swing at me. we got it. >> i didn't swing at you. >> reporter: in the video you can hear police ask her over and over to sit down, but she keeps getting up. >> don't touch me. i'm tired of you swinging at me. it has to stop. >> reporter: police cuff her, then she's taken to the hospital. now she's facing a felony charge and police say the baby is in state >> the man who was driving the car when the wreck happened thomas whitaker is now facing child abuse charges. also on 7, trick-or-treaters pelted by paint balls. police are investigating after several people visited a haunted house in arizona were hit and a drive-by shooting with the paint balls. one little boy even hit right in the face. >> reporter: the bounty from a successful night of trick-or-treating is serving as 5-year-old logan white. >> like that too. >> reporter: dressed up as a soldier like his father, logan had just finished making the rounds in his neighborhood when he was the target of a nasty trick. >> i got hit by a paint ball. >> reporter: their best to keep him smiling. >> it's just disappointing to me that somebody would think that that would be funny or a good time to do that to children. what they did, they'd probably regret doing it. >> and now police are still searching for the culprits. a candy caper in kansas, a kansas state student says a thief stole a kit cat bar from inside of his car. he said he was back into his car when he realized someone had broken in. his wallet and cell phone were not stolen. the only thing missing was the kit cat bar. in its place, an apology written on a napkin. >> it just said i saw a kit cat in your cup holder. i love your car, i'm sorry and hungry. and i got a kick out of it. i thought it was funny. >> after sharing the theft on social media kit cat reached out to him and said they
